A-SPEC package with different tires

Sup guys....
I'm very excited about tomorrow, because at about 6 Am I'm dropping off my car to get A-SPEC package on and by the way, I saw the steering wheel and I don't know how exactly to describe it, but I'll sure take a lot of pic's and post them tomorrow.
I also saw the badge, and it looks cool, but what made me stop and think is A-SPEC tires.
My dealer didn't get the tires yet, but they have the wheels, and i talked to the part manager, and as fas as he know, A-SPEC has a different set of tires than the ones on the 18.
Because they have the Yokohamas in stock, and te order number showed a different serial number or something like that.
My car should be done sometime in the evening, so I'll take a lot of pictures (including the steering wheel) and post them tomorrow in the evening or the morning after.
Just wish me good luck and hope that its all worth it.

Post A-SPEC package installation update

I've just dropped off my car at that dealer and they started working right away, but they told me that it might take more than one day, because just installing the shock springs takes about 5 hours and the back up sensors take the same amount of time.
But I told the service person that they better not mess up my car or I'll do what Stone Cold Steve Austin does and that is OPEN A CAN OF WHOOP A$$, and i begged him to finish it today.
Man I'm excited, and sure you all are, pictures should be here not later than tomorrow morning.
I might have problems posting htem here, so if anybody can help me with that it'll be appreciated.

The suspension is on and so is the body kit.
They are putting the parking assistant and the rest.
It should be ready in about 7 hours from now.
And Kevin, A-SPEC costed me about $6200 with installation (labor).

Talking I officially have A-SPEC on

Well guys,
I have A-SPEC on, and the ride looks sweet.
You should have seen the jealous eyes of Lexus, Audi and MB drivers.
I took three pictures, but its already dark, so i'll take more pictures in the morning and post them here.
A-SPEC steering wheel is exactly what Rets posted before and the car does not look that low, but still it cool
I've noticed the difference in handeling.
I don't have a lot to talk about, but the pic's will be here tomorrow for all of you to see.

Post Two Thumbs Up for A-SPEC

I have the same tires on the regular 18 Inch and let me tell you guys, the sales people have done a fantastic work.
I have the A-SPEC badge in my glove box, because my car is not waxed yet, but I'll take a picture of that and attach along with every single thing.
Don't worry, you won't wait long, it should be done in 6 hours from now.
I just didn't want to take any useless pictures in the evening.
Tomorrow is the day.

You might want to stick that badge on BEFORE you wax. It will not adhere as well to a waxed surface. Or at least use some alcohol on the spot before you stick it on.

Hey guys,
At last, here are the pictures for my TL A-SPEC.
The pictures have poor quality, but i'll take more pictures with my digitial camera and post more clear ones.
I took two pictures of A-SPEC badge, but both don't look clear, but I believe that the best one is the one on my hand.
So, excuse the poor pictures and promise to post more soon.

Wow, that looks immaculate. Don't let some of these haters make you feel bad about your purchase. Sometimes when I really like something, and it's worth having, and I can afford it, I go ahead and get it. Now you must await the arrival of the Comptech supercharger or just go turbo.

It looks pretty nice, but I don't care for the sunroof visor or side window visors. As long as you are happy that's all that matters.

Enjoy the ride!

For those who have been following me incessant requests for steering wheel pics, I must say, HOW DISSAPOINTING! It is basically the same thing, I was loking for a sports wheel. They add it in teh package for prob $500 and just put different grips on! I am STEAMING mad! Waited for that, what teh #$*%

Nice ride Quatar
I am gonna come steal you A-spec badge adn drop the price of your car considerably

They are good. Envious of your new package and TL. The tires & rims look awesome. Do you know why your steering wheel is different than my pic? Thanx.

All other A-Spec drivers have the same one?

Nice car, Qatar! As I have said before, I give you major props for doing this. We are now anxiously looking forward to your review of the handling. Specifically, is it good enough to tell C & D to "shove it"?

This guy cracks me up. He thrives on what he perceives to be the envy of others. I'm sure Lexus, Audi and MB drivers will be swerving off the road in the grips of deep depression and envy as you pass them - for months to come. Not to mention BMW and Infiniti owners..what will they do?

Yeah, you're gonna leave so many sad, longing souls in your wake as you cruise through town with your window visors flapping in the breeze as they taunt all the other motorists in a sort of "winking" flirtation.

Qatar, you are something else buddy.

I do like the contrasting leather on the steering wheel though.

Let me know if your 18's vibrate. I was looking at you pics and noticed the yellow and red marks. I have had mine with 1. (mount and no balance) Dealer f'up dont ask, 2. balance by bubba's "hey these aint truck tires", 2 1/4 oz in three different places on one wheel, just to give you an idea and 3. finally almost correct static balanced when I provided the Yokohama TSB. The preffered method is dynamic balancing red triangle to known spot on wheel if the wheel is not marked then static balancing, yellow dot to valve stem. Do you know which method your dealer used?

Just curious.

V/R,
Nick

ok guys,
Here is the deal.
I WOULD definately tell the guys at C & D to "SHOVE" it big time.
The car rides like a dream, great grip, balance and stability, its just a little bit noisier than the 17 inch HP model.
You can quote me on this, with A-SPEC package on, 04 TL will definately do 0-60 in less than 5.6 seconds.
I'm sure that most of you have seen how wide the tires are on the HP model, but guess what!!
A-SPEC really has BIG and wide A$$ tires.
I kept my stock steering wheel, shock springs and wheels.
Talking about the steering wheel,A-SPEC steering wheel is a little bit thicker than the stock, and the material that is made of feels different, and for some reason i believe that i have a better grip with it.
I'll take some more pictures and will post them very soon.

I didn'y get the back up camera because they were going to install something like a chip in my Navi, and hell no one is touching my navi, and i also required a hole for the camera, nd i'm not in need for that.

NICE, Please PM me!!!!

Car looks nice but I've got a question about the costs? One of the things that is part of the A-spec package is the Brembo brake upgrade. Since your's was a 6MT you ALREADY had the Brembo's. Did they let you keep your old one? If so, I'd like to make you an offer you can't refuse... Mine is/will be the same color as yours but is auto...

ndabunka,
Well, nothing was added to the brakes.
Because when you have a manual tranny, its all there, and if you have a automatic, then you get the upgraded brake pads.
But nothing was added to my brakes as far as i know

Yo guys, I forgot to tell you about what happened to me today while driving my TL.
everytime i stop by a red light, i see eyes eating my car with the looks and then this dude tells me to pull over because he wants to talk to me, and so i did.
Hey came and said: " Damn, you got the new 5 series?"
I told him that it wasn't , he insisted on the car being the new 5 series untill he took a look in the back and saw Acura logo, and he came to me and asked me where did I imported it from.
And here am I looking at this fool, who hasn't been following anything but BMW news, and even failed to recognize it, so i told him that it ain't imported and that its the new TL, then he said something that made me feel like smacking him or something.
He said: " I wonder how Acura came up with something like this, its impossible for Acura to build such a machine" I told him, well, it is an AC and it exsits because its right here, and I told him to wait till the RL is out and we can really TALK THEN, and left him.
Then I went to the BMW dealer to check the new 5 series, and that thing looked ugly as hell, specially the mufflers, and guess what!!!
I come back to see 15 to 21 people surrounding my car thinking its the new MB (the new series that is a sedan but looks like a coupe) and they couldn't believe that its an Acura.
I told him, here you guys looking at whats going to compete with your ugly looking 5 series, and they didn't even deny it, they admitted that it's a great car, but they don't know about the rest.
I had DAMN finger prints all over my windows, but its all worth seeing people looks....
I'll try to do this again and go to MB dealers, Audi, Mazda ...etc
And I forgot to mention how people were impressed when i took my TL to Volks Wagon dealer.
Damn that car looks sweet

I'll tell you more of what happens in dealers and i'll sure mention if i get to hit someone for saying anything about Acura.

UP, UP, UP
ACURA IS RISING UP
