A SPEC Body Kit Group Buy (NEW)
#83
Since the previous thread owner decided to back down and go AFK, I'm going to start my own. I will be contacting Tim tomorrow for a group buy. I am assuming at least 5 people will be interested. If enough people respond to this thread to hit at least 10 it probably will be cheaper. So far, according to someone from the other thread, with a group buy of 5 people, it should cost $800 (or $802) shipped. So more people, the cheaper it goes! Respond quick so I can call him tomorrow, I will call him at 2CST as I have class.
For the newbs, this is a purchase for the FULL A SPEC Body Kit which is produced and made by Acura and/or Honda.

Ordering mine now......despite the flames coming off my credit card from all the parts I've been ordering lately Thanks again to Tim for the group buy and to TheChamp for setting it up.

Are the color codes (numbers) on the Hondacuraworld site in-house codes or do they somehow match our car's color code? My order says color 290. I have a bottle of touch-up paint and I was looking for a similar code but nothing. It's not a big deal since I selected the color on the order page, just wondering really and noticed this came up briefly earlier in the thread.

240 is for NBP. I just think its the number so the dealership knows which one to get painted for whoever bought it. Anyways, I wanted to ask a question and decided to not open another thread for this. Is cleared and smoked the same as cleared and blackened? This may sound like a dumb question, but I wanted to make sure

blackened - painted inside of headlight housing
smoked - spraying (vht shade) tint on the lense
correct me if I'm wrong but that's what I think it is.

Thats what I thought. Reason why I was asking is because I wanted my friend to do my headlights like jnc does for a lot of acurazine members. He told me they're are nearly the same, but I told them it isn't, hopefully he knows how to do it.

What's the point of this?!?
You do realize that this is probably as good a price as your going to get anywhere and that you can buy the kit now right? Have you read this thread or did you just read the title?

Shipping costs are calculated automatically to Hawaii and Canada on the website. It will give you a shipped total prior to order completion.
Bear in mind that we ship the kids UPS Standard, and there will be charges for GST/PST, brokerage, and duty upon delivery. I cannot use USPS, FYI, they're too big to get in the mail jeeps

I was hoping to buy one for my TL but my garage is at such angle that I know the front lip would hit if you're not carefull..., my wife drives the TL and I think it would be a reason to start a fight when I get in the garage and find the lip on the floor...so ....damn , double damn....

The kit takes 1-2 days to deliver to the Acura dealership then it takes 3-5 days to deliver to your house, but even faster if you live closer to NY. (I live in Texas and once shipped they took 4 business days) They don't open Sat. or Sunday for shipping unless paid extra, but you should get the kit in your house 1 1/2 weeks from the day you ordered.

My kit is stuck in FedEx hell. I keep missing the delivery so now I have to work from home on Monday to wait for it. Somehow I don't see much work getting done once the FedEx truck pulls up.

You'll be sent the tracking number once the kit is shipped. Got mine a day or two after I placed the order.
