I know exactly what you are referring to. I just got my TL, and have the same exact problem and will bring it back to the dealer, as something does not seem right. The back deck seems to rattle, and I thought it was distortion at first.

yeah i have this same problem too. it doesnt do it all the time though which is strange. i play the xm radio on volume 5 went to the back seat and pressed on the plastic casing that surrounds the sub and the rattling stoped. It maybe the plasic casing warping in the heat. don't know but it does suck. dont know if that can be resolved. it may just be a design flaw.

Yes, I have a ratttle when the bass is BOOMING. I also think I hear a rear deck rattle -seperate from the speaker problem. Taking to the dealer on the 31st. I will start a thread and give a report. Please let us know how you resolved it for yourself as well. Thanks

i have a rattle. when i have radio off and windows closed... and i ride through a bump. i hear it rattle. I have heard that people have gone to their dealers and dealers always tell them to bring it in when they have their oil changes. So i am waiting on my second A1 service to come by to let them know about it. Its in the rear, middle. i think that it might be some metal from the seatbelt like others have stated. But also i am having my passenger door light at the bottom right rattle. so i need to let them know about that also..

How To Fix The Rattle

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM!!! Go to your dealer, open the trunk, and make sure that the black plastic clips that hold the soft paneling up are present. The clips are to the left and right of the truck light. Mine were missing. This SHOULD solve the problem. This was very frustrating - Good luck!

I think Jag is talking about one of those black plastic screws that keep the inner trunk liner in place. Those should not be missing unless you removed the liner many times and somehow those screws broke off. In my case, this is definately not the source of rattle.
