Anything new on rear deck buzz fixes?

I haven't seen a thread on this for a while and was wondering if anyone got there rear deck buzz from loud bass fixed? I get a loud chirp type buzz from the rear deck vibrating.

Back in July I was told by my dealer that they didn't want to touch it because there is a possibility of them getting something else to come loose and creating another rattle or buzz.

I am still waiting on Acura to remedy this problem. Anyone have any experience with this recently?

I'm going in for an oil change and tire rotation on Monday and was just wondering if I could maybe finally get the buzz out of the rear deck.

Now, I have this buzzing noise in the rear deck area even without music on. It does it as long as the car is >2mph!

I have a constant rattle coming from the left side of the rear deck. It kind of sounds like metal or plastic hitting glass. I took it to my dealer yesterday who took the seats out and put foam around the deck, but the next day the rattle came back. I made a second appointment next week for them to fix it.

Very frustrating since I only have 300 miles on the car and I hate the fact that the dealer needs to take out the seats to try and fix the rattle. However, the rattle is loud enough for anyone to hear so I am a little reluctant for people to sit in the new car until it's fixed.

Yes, actually my car is at the dealer right now getting the rear deck removed to fix the noise in the back. Deep bass turned it into a metal symphony back there. The dealer was very helpful. Guy came to the car sat in front, sat in the back, checked it out from the trunk. They found two spots-one involves a bolt that hits metal when the music is booming. I don't remember the other but I'll get a print out Monday with the fix they applied. When I went to pick it up the backseat was pulled apart to get at it. THAT makes me nervous! I'll post when I get the car back and let you know how it went.

I have an Anthracite/Ebony loaner.....after Redondo Red/Parchment this combo feels dull and boring. UGH! No offense but man....it's so colorless inside and out.

I'm sure you've read all the various responses from us in other threads, but the dealer's considered the third seat belt for that, right?

I get rattle in the center rear and center-right during deep bass as well as other songs even when the music is as low as level 8. i took my car into the dealership and all they did was tighten things and "experiment" but were unable to rectify the problem. im gonna replace my sound system within a few months so hopefully i can just ignore it.

Those were exactly where my rattles were. I was actually able to "fix" the rattle in the middle by stuffing an old t-shirt up in the hole below the middle speaker. I got at the hole through the trunk. It's cut out of the surface beneath the middle rear speaker (subwoofer?). That stopped the rattles there completely. However, I still had rattles coming from the rear passenger side.

The dealers MUST be getting sick of fixing these rattle related problems. I heard the guy at the service desk take an appointment with a woman who had three areas with rattles in her TL. Mine's been in twice. Does the dealer commnicate this nonsense back to Acura?

Lore:

I think it is the subwoofer grill. Is this removable from the top of the deck?

Just got mine back from the dealer tonight for rear deck noise during music. Here's the service invoice quote: R&R Rear decklid. (removed Rear Seatback+Bottom). Tightened numerous bolts, repaired clip on DRVR rear speaker that was loose, Found a screw stuck to subwoofer magnet.

Also:

Replaced third brake light cover and passenger side sunroof visor light.
Reolaced pass sun visor light for rattle-still makes noise. Customized lamp assy holder in headliner to remove rattle.

I had those issues as well. So far the rear deck noise is gone.
I like the effort my dealer makes they try hard.

Wow! Who built your car? Tightened numerous bolts???

I am glad your rattles are gone. Let's hope that they don't come back.

No kidding!! It feels and sounds solid now and I'll keep my fingers crossed. All in all I'm happy with the dealer so far. They must be fed up with all the little issues they have to deal with on the TL.
