Spark Plug + Valve Adjustment

Spark Plug + Valve Adjustment
My apologies if this has been asked before. I did search and search but couldn't find much info.
Mine is 2006 TL with 40,000 miles. Low mileage. I was at the dealer for oil change, the service adviser suggested to change spark plug and valve adjustment. With such low mileage, do I really need to get these done? Unlike timing belt, these two items are by "mileage", not by "age/time", correct?
Thanks

Got it. That's what I thought. This dealer was taking an advantage over someone without much mechanical knowledge (myself). This site is the only place I can get honest opinions. Thanks!

Honestly with all the service, I would read the owner manual and it will tell you exact when to replace certain item/ fluid. If its not listed under the service manual then its BS, call Honda/ Acura cooperate won't help since each dealer is individually own and operate and they can recommended service to customer. They didn't makes OP obligate to the service.
OP in your situation I would not worry about the spark plugs and timing belt until you reach 105k miles, however its the fluids that you need to pay close attention to (if you didn't replace the fluids yet).
