I've noticed that the 05 RL has Acura imprinted on all of its wondows, unlike other Acura's that display Honda.
I wonder if there is any significence to this!
Is it because its made in Japan? and how about the TL and TSX???
I checked Infiniti and Lexus two days ago, and 05 Models still display Toyota for Lexus and Nissan for Infiniti.
Can any of the 05 TL owners confirm the imprint on the windows!

 

05 TL - Honda/Honda/Honda/Honda on my windows. Car is less than one week old.

The Acura TSX is made in Japan. It's essentially the Japanese Accord.

 

Btw, 04 TSX seems to have HONDA imprinted on all windows, not sure about 05!?

 

He did say RL and not TL. Are RL's made in the US as well as the TL?

I don't know about all the other Lexus models but I know the Lexus GS430 has "LEXUS" on all it's windows. I was dissappointed when I found out the 430's said "LEXUS" cuz my gs400 windows said "TOYOTA"..

I reallly wish the TL windows said ACURA!!!!!!!

 

If it said VW I might have a couple concerns, but we're all driving Hondas so what's the big deal?

The Acura nameplate is just an illusion to keep North American buyers satisfied that they're buying a "prestigious" car.

 

Yes, the RL is also made in Japan.. All over the globe, our cars are known as Honda's. Only in North America is it Acura. Honda is Acura's parent company, so I highly doubt that they will change it to read Acura since its only sold in NA.

I would guess that the TL windows are likely also used in other Honda branded models whereas the RL windows may be unique to the RL.

 

Honda on the windows. There is a survey on the Acura Owner Link site that asks how one feels about the Honda name on the glass versus the Acura name. It also asks if one would be willing to pay more the car if the glass did in fact say Acura. If you haven't visited the site and taken the survey you may want to. With enough feedback, maybe they will change it. It won't affect us current owners, but.....

 

Apparently not as we all thought !

Just got back from Hong Kong and China. While I was there, I saw many pre-'05 ACURA RL's with the steering wheel on the other side. In China, I saw an ACURA LEGEND 3.2 TL, and I have a pic to prove it. Will post it soon.

 

I don't really care what's printed on the window, and I certainly wouldn't be willing to pay extra just to have Acura printed on the glass. Who cares..not me? We all know we're driving a gussey'd up Honda anyway...who cares....I love my car anyway. I still would have purchased my TL even if it had the big "H" on the grill and not the big "A"...LOL

 

I received a survey from Acura regarding this subject. Just a few questions, but all related to the "Honda" written on the glasses. Have you guys received this as well?
