something interesting about the navi

this is for people who tend to speed on highways.... this maybe a repost if it is sorry.... but i live in Northern VA.... and here ur not allow to have radar detectors... pretty sure a lot of people know this fact already... but as i was driving on the highway i notice something.... everyone knows those little pathways in the middle of these highways marked "authorized vehicles only" (these are the spots cops like to hide) well our navi actually shows these spots. if u look carefully the major highways are in red.. and it shows both north bound and south bound or east and west bound... now if you look carefully in between these u see little lines that go from side to side in between the red lines |-| <~~ something like that... those are these little authorized pathways.... so if ur speeding and u see one of those lines u can know when to slow down............. i guess just one ways to be more careful? anyways... again sorry if this is a repost... and sorry if its confusing.... but see for yourself ... if ur on the highway and speed a lot this might be helpful in preventing tickets... again this might not be for everyone... more for peeople that live in areas where u can have laser or radar detectors...

And there are those that will say you shouldn't be speeding anyways. In Cali, you can't mount stuff to your windshield. But that'll change on 1/1/2009. Yay.

I never noticed that. Were you on I-95 or I-66 and what navi DVD do you have? Next road trip, I will look for it.

I live off of I-95 so I will be sure to look for it on my way to work. I have an 05 TL so I know my DVD map is older than yours. Still waiting on the new disc that should be out in the next few weeks.

^^^So we will be able to mount stuff to our windshields after the new year? I didn't know that was changing.

Good info. Anything helps to prevent a ticket, if your a bit over the speed limit. Also in an emergency, this may be helpful for a spot to pull off.
