So I received my A-Spec kit today, and it was damaged and not packed good.

Tim I would have expected better packing for this for my first order. The side pieces were just sitting in there where they could slide all around.

DHL didn't treat her very well and it got damaged on only ONE piece luckily and I will be calling you tomorrow to solve the situtation for a replacement rear piece.

I had DHL mark box damaged. Here is the way I received it right from DHL pics of the box and the piece that was damaged. If the nicks were on the bottom I wouldn't care, but they are on the top part of the kit and it will show badly.

I am sorry...but you have to laugh at that. Why would anyone even try to deliver something that destroyed. Just terrible.

Now that makes me wonder just how badly you have to handle a package to damage it like that.

Incompetent idiots.

I will talk to Tim to see what he can do. I have touchup paint that might work on that small spot to hide it. Instead of shipping them back and forth again, maybe he can work me a deal on something else or throw something in for me. Who knows, never have had this issue before or had a dealing with Tim. I also ordered the spoiler, so I hope that comes in safe.

Oh, you got it from Tim?

Dude, he'll take care of it for you. Don't even worry about a thing. I had a very similar situation a while ago, and he was cool as hell about it.

Thanks. Glad Tim is a good guy. He seemed to be when I talked to him last. Just sucks that DHL are dumb butts.

When I got my a-spec kit from DHL, my box was damage as well, but not as badly as yours.
I went through everything and the kits were fine. Luckily, no bolts or nuts were missing.

Seems like Acura should have use thicker and strong box for shipping a-spec kit.

Welp, I talked to Tim. He can do a claim and have DHL pick the whole kit back up again in the same box and return it. Then I would have to wait for another kit. Or I just use a little touch up paint in those areas to take care of the problem and he will give me a small credit on my next purchase (which is the best he can do). This this will be my only Saturday for at least another month free, I decided to keep this kit and just repair it.

I despise DHL. We used them at work for a little while, but stopped because they kept damaging our stuff and delivering things late all the damn time...if we sent it overnight or 2nd day, our customer would call and say they never received it. We'd call DHL and they'd say, oh, it'll be delivered in a few days . Not cool. End rant.

Good luck with your kit.

That is the same exact box that I received mine in. I was surprised at the complete lack of packing inside a box that big. I didn't have any damage but frankly I was very surprised that I didn't.

Maybe this isn't Tim's fault, could it be the box that Acura ships the spoler in?

That has me wondering as well. The side pieces were just laying inside the box where they can be thrown around.

Now I'm a little worried. I just got in that Group Buy last week and got an email from Tim this morning saying it's shipped. Hopefully, it will come in new condition.

Did the DHL Tracking System ever say that your package was on its way to getting run over by a semi? If not, it should have. Sucks, man.

Maybe, because they are foreign (from their website)

"At the beginning of 2002, Deutsche Post World Net became the major shareholder in DHL. By the end of 2002, DHL was 100%
owned by Deutsche Post World Net."

It appears this is not an uncommon issue with damaged boxes with some internal damage or concealed damages, you would think with as many issues listed that Tim would use another shipper

Tim is the man!

He is the only source I trust for OEM parts!

Bought my kit and a couple of other goods from him. A true businessman.

Tim doesn't pack the items, Honda/Acura does. As stated above, he'll help you out.

This incident is clearly DHL's fault. They were previously Airborne Express, the worst of the express delivery folks. This case doesn't surprise me at all. If you haven't complained to DHL, you should.

We just had a similar situation with a piece of furniture delivered to our new Disney townhome. The dresser and box it was in was so severely damaged it looked like a fork lift drove through the side of it..not even remotely usable or repairable. To make it worse..the truck driver brings it into our unit..puts the damaged part of the box up against the wall so it's hidden..then gets the property management company to sign off on the delivery. They found it a day or 2 later when he's long gone...it would have been alot better for us to find the shipment and have refused delivery right up front, now I have to deal with getting the old damaged one taken out of there as well as getting a new one sent..and it involves opening up claims with the shipping company..a real pain /sigh.

That really sucks. I hope it works out in your favor. Make sure you have good pics of the damage; the shipping company will want to see them for proof. We go through this crap all the time at the company I work for....both when we are the shippers and the receivers.
