This shouldnt require much of a discussion, I am just not 100% sure- I have researched and am finding conflicting results....does the 08 TYPE-S have a DOHC or not?- thanks- i even just checked the TYPE-S interactive showroom on Acura.com- still unsure-

"The TL Type-S is powered by a modified version of the 3.5-liter SOHC VTEC® V-6 found in the Acura RL."

 

The new J35 used in the Acura RL produces 290 hp (224 kW) at 6200 rpm and 256 ft·lbf (347 N·m) at 5000 rpm. This engine was on the Ward's 10 Best Engines list for 2005 and 2008.

So the TYPE-S is a modified version- great find- thanx

thats awesome, i really wished it was DOHC- but, oh well- not that i really understand the difference btw the 2, but other cars in the class, well most sport inspired ones have the DOHC- more opportunity for power i suppose
