Siemens S56 "buzzing" problem when dialing.

When I dial a number with the HFL and the S56 I get a "buzzing" sound coming through the car's speakers. Once the call is connected the sound goes away. I saw this issue referenced in another thread, but most people who have this phone have not stated that they have this problem. I have Cingular if that matters.

My questions are:

1. Do all S56 owners have this problem?

2. If not could it be firmware version related?

3. Does this happend with other model phones?

If anyone can provide any additional information regarding this issue I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Jay

For people who report no problems I would appreciate if you could provide your firmware version. It can be displayed by selecting: menu->setup->phone setup->phone identity->info. My phone shows:

SW-Version: 06.
SW-Date: 2003-04-24

Thanks.

I don't have this problem and I've got the same SW version you do.

I also have the same SW version and date and have had the buzzing only
once or twice. This was only while the
call was ringing and disappeared after the call connected. I'm using AT&T.

You need to take it to the Cingular Retail store (not an agent) and ask them to swap it out for a seedstock and let you try it in your car to determine what's wrong. You may want to speak with a store manager if the rep acts like they don't know what you are talking about.

Hope you get it fixed!
