is this on both mirrors? or is it just one...because if its on both then it might be a technical issue where it has to do with wires as oppose to broken mirrors....or it could be that you arn't doing something correctly...

Haven't had any of those problems. Have only had the use the defroster for mirror a couple of times here if FL though so they don't get a real workout.

Have dealers checked!?

In its coldest day this week, I was parking my car in the lot. Everything seemed fine, and even all my 4 windows worked ok. IMHO, our cars should be able to work well under this temp...

The side mirror problem sounds like a bad switch, if they both won't go up or left on both sides.

Does the green light come on for the inside rear view mirror when you push the switch? Of course, the cold has nothing to do with this mirror.

What part of yonkers you from? 3G TL? What color? I'm the one with the NBP, i drive it around a lot.

As for the mirrors, dont know what could be the problem. But that same weather froze my drivers side window shut. The back half closer ot my should would og down a bit, but the other half closer ot the windshield wouldnt budge.

AbiNY - OMG - I was gonna post about this problem as well - Because I have the EXACT same problem you're experiencing. And I'm about 10-15 minutes away from Yonkers - in Riverdale right by the henry hudson.

I noticed this problem myself yesterday - my read view mirror's green light is not coming on anymore and its not working properly. AND both my side mirrors are only working 50%, just like yours. And when I reverse, neither mirror goes down and I have tried with both sides selected.

This is pretty weird. I know we got hit with a cold day the other day, so could this mean that the cold screws around with the electronics in this car?? Very serious problem, no? I am gonna get this checked at my next service, which isn't for another month or so.

Or should I just do it now? What do u guys think?

AbiNY - I go to Acura of Westchester, what about you?

Both of you need to call and make an appt... Definately a weird coincidence though.

Once both of you get this fixed, I am very interested to hear what Acura had to say/what they did about the problem.

Please keep us posted!

I also noticed this yesterday....... My memory settings are no longer working either!!!! I cannot set my settings and the system is not recalling my previous ones either.

So there are a total of four problems taking place here. Are u also having this issue as well AbiNY?

Holy crap!!!!!!!!!! mine neither!!!

I thought the windshield sprayer was not working because there was no more cleaner in it, but you're right, this is out of function too. I checked and I do have cleaner in there.

So this is just insane, I hope there aren't any more serious electric problems with the car, cause a fire or anything like that.

Keep me posted, I will be making my appt today.

1. Side mirrors only have 50% functionality/limited movement
2. Side mirrors do not move down when reversing
3. Windshield sprayer not working
4. Memory Settings not working
5. Rear view mirror deflector not working

All seem to be due to the cold weather we had here earlier in the week.

It sounds like everything is just frozen. It has been very cold in the East the past couple of evenings. Especially the windshield washer...mine didn't work the other day, but as soon as it warmed up, it worked fine. I'm going to buy the below zero crap you can use so it doesn't freeze up. Keep us updated.

yep - blown fuse!!!!!!!! I just got mine fixed yesterday. everything is back to normal now.

apparently, if the wipers are stuck on ice and u try to operate them - they blow the fuse to prevent the wiper mechanism from damaging itself - this fuse happens to control these other things as well.

At least this is what the dealer told me.

Thanks for the update!! Did the dealer inform you which fuse number was blown?

This posting has been so helpful. We drove up from Florida to Ohio over the holidays during a deep freeze and I must have tried to use my wipers once or twice. Needless to say, I had the same damn problem, wiper washer wouldn't work, seat memory wouldn't work, and two out of the four rear window adjusting directions wouldn't work. As you all just said, it was indeed a blown fuse, #20 which is a 7.5A fuse. There is a spare under the hood if you need it. And I thought my hardwired radar detector had caused the problem... whew!

Thanks

WOW!!! YES, once again you guys are so helpful. Thanks for saving me a trip to the dealer, my time, and any misshaps that could've (would've) happened! I'll now be freeing the wipers from the glass if I even suspect them to be frozen to the glass. Thanks guys!

Interesting thing was that the wipers still worked despite the fuse being blow so I wonder how this would protect the mechanism. Just a thought. But at least everything works now. Thanks!

Is the fuse box containing #20 under the hood or is that just a box where the spare is? I have the same problem now... Thanks for saving a trip to the dealer.

the fuse is inside, next to the hood opening latch, the spare is under the hood, so is the fuse plucker....caution, there is only one spare, so do not try to do this when the weather is still below freezing...

I had the same exact problem right before X-MAS. Took the ride to the dealer and they said after 3 hours of keeping me that a multiplexer and some other parts have to be ordered. So they ordered and I waited. The parts fianally came in mid January and they installed them. BUT the service rep said the Tablet PC they use to program the Multiplexer has crashed and they cannot program the thing to make my mirrors memory seats........ work. I thought that was BU*^&*^%.

So i got really pissed and called another dealer in the area and they said bring it in right now and they will fix it within 10 minutes.

Turns out to be a FUSE..... long story short the other place did not have a clue on what they were talking about.

I would also like to add I had the same problem. Replaced fuse #20 on the interior panel and now all is good again. It's amazing that one fuse controls all that stuff. I also find it funny that this fuse handles half of the controls for the side mirrors.

Question turn signal mirrors?????

on the topic of side mirrors... has anyone done/heard of the TSX side mirror conversion with the tl.... the tsx mirrors have the turnsignal in them... i want to do that to my tl, but i dont want to get screwed over with shitty aftermarket mirrors that either 1) wont fit right 2)wont look good or 3)wont even work at all... so if anyone has any info about this... let me knoW!

Gentlemen (if you are still on the board, 4 years LATER) -

I wanted to pass along my thanks for this thread. After MUCH searching I happened upon this thread with the EXACT same issue I was having. I had already tried the fuses, but didn't even check #20 (at 7.5amps and the label I didn't pay any attention to it), so I wouldn't have checked it had I not read through this.

Thanks again!

Thanks for this thread. Thought my windshield washer fluid was frozen, then realized I couldn't even hear the motor of the washer going. Then realized my sideview mirrors had limited power (couldn't move them left), thats when I clued onto this thread. Fuse #20 inside the car was blown. Replaced with 10A and it's all good again
