Side Markets-> Turn Signals

I wonder why Acura didnt alow the side markers to blink with the turn signals. Anyone know how I can make that work. Probably all it needs is some wiring. Some intructions would help big time. I love this forum when it comes to things like this. Thanks.

I was going to write the same thing but you beat me to it. Since I already found the link I will post it, but a search is always a good way to start looking for something. http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/showt...t=side+markers

Has anyone investigated using TSX side mirrors on a TL? It would seem simpler to install than modding one without a blinker.

i would say to make the side markers blink is reaaaal simple. im no electrician. but slicing the power wire from the side marker to the power wire from the blinker should do the trick(someone please back me up) also the tsx side view mirrors is a good idea. i thought about doing this on my 03 tl. and was VERY suprised when the 04s came out and diddnt have this feature

Actually, it is not that hard to do the basic turn on with front blinker deal, it is a simple tap into the front blinker, and cut the power wire to the LED side marker.

But back when I did a poll on this, the vast majority of people wanted it to LOOK NORMAL when the blinkers were not on (this ment ON with parking lights and blinking when turn signals were on).

I did come up with a 2 relay circuit (per side) so as not to back feed any other wiring on the car along with a couple of diodes (these were front line of defense, relays totally isolated a few seconds later and caused them to blink when needed.

Anyway, do a search, there was a ton of info and install info, two of us worked on it at the time, plus a movie of the operation.

I think the time was around Nov/Dec.

They looked great after the install!

Good Luck!

Hey guys,
you know why acura dont put blinker side mirror on our car because we have the side blinking marker, on the other hand the TSX dont have the side blinking marker. Therefore we dont need the blinking turn miror

Also if u can imagine the TL with the side blinking mirror it will look pretty ugly because when u have the light on the side marker and the blinking mirror will blink together and the contrast will look stupid

I used a meter to figure out what wires were what, it is pretty simple as I did it at the lights, so little chance of messing up the connections.
