MDT0034, I have the exact opposite problem. It takes me a very long time to make a decision as I don’t want to experience buyer’s remorse. I have a ’02 TL-S with 60k miles that is paid for. However, I have been talking to dealers since mid-December about trading. They have offered to trade at $22.5k with 3.9% financing, which is a pretty good deal. My original color choice was NBP/ebony but the wife saw the Carbon Bronze/ebony which she liked, so I hesitated trying to decide on which color. I guess my thinking is that I can always buy, but once bought then the deal is done and you have to live with it. I’m still obsessing over the new TL-S, so I’m sure I’ll break down and buy one someday.
Anyway, you have a great car so enjoy.

Question.. did you actually get an oil change first and THEN bought a new car? The bigger mistake was getting the new car, the second more minor mistake was wasting another $60 to get the oil change on a car you sold. Hope you've learned a good lesson from this one, a salesman's job is to try to get you to spend way more than you should.

Wow, I paid $1962 drive-off with 15k miles per year @ 36/months for my TL-S. Payments are $463 and some change. But it boils down to your credit status...I was fortunate to have a tier one credit rating. That's the only reason why I leased over financing...to take advantage of my credit scores. Oh, and if I ever exceeded the mileage (which I highly doubt)...it's only $.20 per mile.
Since I'm only 24, what really hurts me is the premium insurance coverage...I left AAA because they were charging a head and a body...(yes, more than a arm and leg...), so I'm with Mercury now and pay $187/month.

NO, I did not end up paying for the oil change. I'm not THAT stupid, sir. But thanks for asking... I guess.

What really made my payments so high, and I don't know why I'm admitting this because it's personal but I'm a cosigner on my brothers car. He was late on his payments more than a couple times so that put my credit score in the toilet. We are currently trying to get him refinanced so I can get my name off his car. Once that happens, I'll refinance to lower my payments.
I use to have a tier one credit rating... oh... those were the days!!
Anyways, things will work out. I'm not worried about it anymore. What's done is done. Live and learn right??
It's still a SICK car!! I'm lovin it!
And yes, we can lock this thread. If anyone else has any comments or questions for me they can send me a message.
