Should this be sticking out?

I just noticed on my front brembo there's a clip sticking out just on the passenger side tho. Is this right? The clip right behind the pads thanks for any help

That is the brake indicator. When your pads get low it touches the rotor and makes a noise to let you know they need replacing. I would not let it get to that point though.

Wear sensor. Idiot proof sensor, devised for those who don't ever check their brakes. When it starts squealing, they get frazzled and take it to someone to be checked out.

Dang gone it!! I better check mine tomorrow, because my rear brakes are screaming when I apply the brake pedal. -______- Damn its time for new brakes, all before my Bday great!! I want to go home and get them done at my uncles shop, DISCOUNT!!

is it bad to leave them squeaking? Plan to get the Duralast Gold Cmax brakes Rear. Should I just replace the Front ones too?

Make sure that you actually need to replace the pads before replacing them. Some brake pads squeal even when they aren't worn out. My pads squeal all the time (Hawk HPS) but they still got some material left in them.

Well these are the OEM ones, I havnt changed them since I bought the car less than a yr. ago and 16k miles later. When I got the inspection sheet from Acura brakes were somewhere along 3mm or 4mm, I think, I cant remember.
Idk when they need replacing, Dad didnt want me to change them since he said no need and squeaking was normal for all brake pads. My mom's suv brakes do not squeak whatsoever on her 03 GMC Envoy XL or her 99 Toyota Tacoma prerunner.

that pic looks like you took it from outside the wheel, then that wear indicator pad is on the wrong side. Wear indicator pads are supposed to be on the inside of the rotor not the outside. Someone correct me if i am wrong please.

i'd have to look at mine, but aftermarket pads can be designed differently..i dont think it should matter since the caliper itself looks to be symmetrical in design.

i know the cmax-es are chamfered on both ends

If you don't replace them when needed and you get a low spot on your pad. The metal to metal contact will kill your rotor beyond getting resurfaced.
So cheap pads now or even a little early or pads + resurfacing or worse replacing rotors. Your call.

Brakemotive is having a group buy on TL rotors / ceramic pads for 200.00 shipped. Here is link.
