should i do it?

Heres the story. I bought a 05 TL with 25k on it for 20.5k back in oct. I love the car. I think i'll own my TL until it dies. But i have been kicking my self lately for not getting navi in it. Plus it does not have the 7yr/100k on it, just the balance of the 5yr/50k. Anyways i've found several for 05/06 models with navi and the 7yr/100k for around 17-19.1k around my area. Thing is they have 40-55k on them, but have the 100k warranty where as mine will be up in almost 20k. Should i do it or just keep the car i have ( which i love ), its more of a want thing, i put 11k down on the car and only pay 184/mo, so i would like to keep my payment but will lose some of my down payment if i trade. thoughts?

Although it is not one of your primary reasons for trading- if you really want a extended warranty, you can get it.

Moreover, you can do a non-navi to navi conversion.

I did a non-navi to navi conversion and it is a lot of work. If you could get the harness made and all the parts (which can be bought) for around 1500. It would be worth it knowing the car you have is great and all is well around it.

I don't know how many miles a year you drive, but I would keep what you have if you like it (sans the navi). In my opinion, 20k in mileage is a pretty good bit; like 1-2 extra years of driving on the car. If you are really hung up on the navi, and have the $, get an aftermarket one from Ebay. Else wise, welcome to the world of Garmin.

do a navi conversion if you really want it or get a portable navi, its not worth the miles if you ask me and you will most likely save money if you just do the conversion instead of getting another TL

There is a guy that sells a E-Z plug and play Non-navi to navi for $2000 I think. He custom makes the wiring harness to just plug into you exist harness like it is factory.

He does not have one on right now, but he builds/sales them pretty regularly on there.

I would say just keep the car,and do the navi conversion. Its better to keep a car that you know is reliable and spending an extra 1500 in order to get the navi, rather than buying another used car and taking a risk that that car might be raped
