Should I change to Type-S headlights?

So I have base tl headlights, did a lil bit of work on them. Smoked the turn signals, did the housing black, put some small LEDs in the DRL. But now I got offered a pair of type-s headlighs for a good price and wondering if it worth it. Here is what I have now.

I think you did a nice job with your headlights, so I say keep them and put the money towards other mods. Or buy them and resell them at a better price. But it's all personal preference, if you really want Type-S lights on your car then do it. However, I think you'll have to do some modifying, because the turn signals are different bulbs. Base's use 7443 bulbs the Type-S uses 1157.

Depending on the price I'd pick them up. I'm a light whore though. I have about 3 sets of TL headlights sitting in the garage.

You could find junked 07-08 headlights and just swap the blacke bezels in your current set up that will give you the 07-08 look with the drl area but still functional for your foglights.

I was going to do this but decided against it due to the costs. I would need to buy new switchbacks and new ballasts, and reqire stuff, etc, just not worth it to me at least. The TL-S headlights do look a lot better though and if you want them, get them.

A cheaper alternative that you can do is get the clear diffusers from USR and swap those in to give it a cleaner look.

Replace if you have a problem with the current ones.
They look clean though
I am thinking about it for myself later on but because I am sick of the fog and some other blah blah

thanks guys, right now its 50/50 if I get them but if I dont I was going to do some newer mods with it. With LEDs improving in the past couple of years i was going to put an LED bulb in the DRL. also some LED strips where the side markers go. (tough to explain) also doing clear lens projectors. Lets see what happens

By saying DRL...
you mean independent fog switch?
Or you have the actual DRL module

Could hdryo drip "water transfer" a carbon Fiber pattern to the headlight internals? That's what I might look into for the next project.

Do it! Or get the 07-08 base headlights and black it out. I swapped the backend of the headlights with my 05 ones so I could retain the HID ballasts/bulbs and use the foglight switch.
