Well, on the Heel Toe website, it states that the Maven shift knob @ 472 grams is exactly twice the weight of the OEM knob...so the math would dictate that the OEM knob is 236 grams.

Bump for pix, please!

I just really want to see if the Skunk2 knob's colour will look "off" from the rest of the TL-S trim...hard to tell in the pix posted thus far. Otherwise, I may go for a satin alu/SS finish...

how about this one. Anyone try this? I think that the CF would go well with the CF trim
It looks nice, and it's cheap. But, if you wear rings or have long finger nails, that thing's gonna get scratched up real quick.

I don't wear rings but finger nails? Really? I like it but it's just as light as the stock one and I want something heavier. Also 22$ shipping for a shift knob is a little ridiculous.

Thats how Ebay sellers make their money. They charge ridiculous amounts for shipping

To be fair, ebay has changed their fee structure as well so yes sellers have jacked up their prices. That CF look knob is just a vinyl overlay over a metal knob....I highly doubt it's real CF like stated in the ad. Should hold up well.
Looks pretty good though and price is right.

I'm heading to my cousin's house for [Canadian]Thanksgiving on Sunday. I will post pics then.

OK.....anyone else with some nice, clear, well lit (but not overexposed) pix of their Skunk2 or other shift knobs?

Please post 'em!

I sell both (well lol I MAKE the Mavens) and while both are good knobs the Maven is WAY more distinctive and fits the high class interior on the Acuras better. Plus they sit lower so they shorten the throw a tad.

Yeah, I do like the Maven...heavier than the Skunk2 and seems beefier for my big mitts. The colour does seem to be a better match to the interior trims bits as well...just wish the shift pattern was etched into the top.

You have to get inside the center console and get underneath the shifter assembly. Once you get to the shifter stalk, you can put a zip-tie around the stalk exactly where you want the metallic ring to sit so that it supports the boot and the knob.

We could put the pattern in the top but then we'd need a lock nut to orient it properly. This would raise the knob and take away the short throw effect.

It would be nice to etch the knobs for a nice look but we are going for a more functional edge.
