I noticed that your inspection sticker reads 3/09. Ours is only good for 2 years.

I see some orange peel too, which would bother me personally, but besides that it looks great. Seems match up perfect from what I can see in the pics. I'd see if they can do anything about the orange peel, though. Definitely not a characteristic of an Acura paint job -- at least none that I've seen.. It's very visible in these pics:

They replaced the door shell for that little amount of damage?? That seems odd, normally they will only do a replacement skin unless the damage is a lot worse than that.
I too agree about the orange peel though. Some of the pics makes it appear there is some on the rear edge of the fender where they had to blend it also. Have you looked at other body panels on car that weren't affected, like on the other side, and see if the paint work looks the same? I'm betting it doesn't.

Hmm.. Very hard to describe, but in the pictures I posted above, can you see how the glare of the paint has the same texture as the peel of an orange? It should be smooth like looking at glass, but instead it has an "orange peel" look to it. You can see it really good in the bottom picture with the person's reflection in the paint. It almost looks as if it's blurred because of the orange peel.

Try to take a night picture with flash. Sometimes different light brings out defects and paint mismatch.

They need to wet sand that finish again ... other than that... it's hard to tell how good a repair job is until you see a car in person.

Bottomline, and my 2 cents: if you're happy with it .. enjoy your car.

Let us know how you make out. No doubt in my mind you'll see it when you look at it if it's showing up in the pic.

As far as I can tell they did a great job. I am seeing the phenomenon(new to me) orange peel. I dont see how it is that muc of a problem though. But hey, you want it perfect, get it perfect.

no wax on fresh paint - the repaired/repainted parts plus the surrounding area.

Well, at least the car got fixed. If you look close to this picture, you can tell what happened in the first place:

... he parked too close to a Ford Tempo.
