Shabby Fuel door!!!

First off..let me tell you all I LOVE my ACURA TL...its a beauty.

But, was wondering if anybody felt that the fuel door is a bit shabby for a luxury car??

Yes, it is a bit shabby for a luxury car. Fortunately, the TL isn't a luxury car. Saved again.

Yes...I don't normally comment on things as petty as this, because it really doesn't bother me in the slightest, but the fuel door on my 96 Civic DX is much stronger and more rigid than that of my TL. Definitely a reduction in quality on this regard, but no worries mate, it's just a fuel door - as long as it funtions, looks good, and operates well...it's all good! IMHO

To answer the question why a civic fuel door would be higher quality...I really don't have an answer

lol, these complaints just keep getting worse and wores, its almost like were purposely looking for things to pick apart....nothing against you VINABUBU but there are alot of complaints about small petty things, these are the small things that makes our car so affordable is that they cut back on quality and prices with the small things that people won't care about

I know, people are complaining about the stupidest things. It seems that we have bearly anything to complain about, so we have to bring up miniscule things that nobody cares about and that don't matter. It's OK though, it creates discussion.

Please, a discussion on fuel doors... You've got to be kidding. The person gets the cheapest car in the category with all kinds of standard features and the fuel door discussion is like writing a dissertation on the contents of a ping pong ball.

And being on this forum for several years now I can say that people have found more things to complain about with each passing year...

i guess its all about preference, i mean there are a few things i don't like about our cars, some things that feel cheap, but its well worth it for what you get with the car.

You know, some "problems" I can give you, but the fuel door? There is nothing wrong with the fuel door. It's a piece of metal that opens when you pull the lever; it closes when you push it back in. As long as it does that, there's nothing wrong with it. Were you expecting it to be built like the vault at Fort Knox or somthing?

The quality of the tire air was MUCH better in my eleven year old Toyota. I'd expect more from a new $35,000 car.
