It's a complete shame to see of what has happened to such a notorious TL. A lot of blood, sweat and tears when into Rodneys TL. He held it down for the East Coast and shut the game down. Welcome to what has become of the 3rd gen TL.

Fucking sad, isn't it?

But on the other hand, it makes me really happy I'm restoring mine and bringing her back to tip top shape again. I figure if I'm going to keep the ol' girl rolling, she better look good and have no issues either. She will eventually become a rarity on the streets here, as all other TLs will likely look like run down shit.

Major throw back fellas. It brought back so many memories when Gus sent me this link. It was an honor to build such an awesome car. Had the opportunity to meet great people on this forum.

It brings me pleasure to see the car still rolling around and the body work that was done to it 8 years ago is still holding up. Hope the new owner drops it and fits some nice wheels on it.

Likely not. You can even see the hole in the front bumper, meaning the inner wheel well liner is removed, and the mesh insert in the bumper is missing. Who knows what else.

Orrrr... Did you remove the wheel well liner to fit big ass wheels?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it's doubtful. The driver was a middle aged military retiree looking African fellow. I think he had absolutely no idea what he was driving. The car was filthy, but cosmetically sound.

I do not have context to these photos, but it seems as though the original owner sold his car and the new owner made it stupid?

He was probably too cheap to buy new tires so he sold them for smaller wheels. Plus that camber looked aggressive so tires would go fast and a shop probably talked him into going back to stock. Or he had alignment issues cuz he took it to pep boys.

Those look like the 16 inch Mercedes E320 wheels from the early to mid 90's. I hate seeing something that was once so iconic and a gold standard to what it is now. Some people just dont respect nice things

moved on from the car, and I remember seeing it at a junk yard or a sales lot looking really really sad...someone else posted those photos here on acurazine, in another thread a couple years ago...

now, the car has been bought by an older gentleman and is still cosmetically sound but 4x4 and no wheels
