Sensor for dirty/bad cabin and air filters?

I was wondering if there was a sensor on a 2007 tl type-s that tells us when our cabin and air filters are bad. I bought the car used and nothing on the service record ever indicates that they might have been changed.

Also, I would like to have the car fully inspected from top down, what would be my best option? Dealership? What do I ask for?

Thanks!

Local mechanic is the best way to go.

No sensors for cabin and air filters.

Thanks, still have a PM coming your way. If you have Skype, that would be a much better option for me as I am always on for work purposes.

I suppose that changing the cabin and air filter is a pretty easy DIY?

Stick with the stockers?

My Skype is thechamp531.

Uh pretty easy. Air filter is the easiest thing ever. Cabin air filter requires a little patience and like a screw driver but it is a 30 min job. Check the 3G garage.

Engine Air Filter is dead simple.

Cabin Air filter is easy, but a little more work. There is a new thread on the HA5 filter which is a good filter.

I'm on the same boat as you. Just ordered mine. Gonna do it next weekend. I just got an oil change and the guy said i should replace it. So i'm gonna do it myself, otherwise it'll cost $140.

Check out my recent post for an awesome deal for the ATP HA-5 Premium Ventilation Filter.

Does a new cabin air filter do a pretty nice job of keeping dust out? I've noticed that my car gets dusty within a few days of wiping it all down.

That has to do with the actual air entering your vehicle.

What's your Skype?
