Question Selling TL ...

I am planning to sell my own 04TL and continue with leasing. No more trade-offs and finance options. After several years of thinking about leasing/finance dilemma I decided that leasing is my option. Several reasons why.
Besides eBay any other place would you suggest to use for selling your car? Any success?

check w/ carmax first. they usually low-ball you but you get at least an idea how much you can get.

Then you have 2 route - trade-in or sell it yourself.

If you want to trade the car in, check with kbb.com and find a price. Your trade-in value should be between the carmax and the kbb.

if you want to sell the car yourself, list on ebay, craiglist, cars.com, and/or autobytel.com.

Sell it yourself.....put that extra money you make in your pocket not a car dealers. I have sold my last three cars myself. Sometimes it takes a while but the extra money is worth it IMO.

That's just an option... some people might not like to deal with the hassle of selling the car and have some confrontational buyer come back if something breaks.

I agree...If you can't deal with the people don't do it. I just prefer to have the extra money in my pocket..not the dealers. When buying a used car it's "buyer beware" and most people know that. CRM asked for advice and and successes selling the car on his own. I have never used Ebay or any online car selling site. I have looked at them to check prices in my area.

EBay probably good place for bargain items. If you wish to get good money eBay will not work.
I was trying to sell my bike last summer, wasted money to use eBay and didn't get even 70% of money I wish to get for my bike. Perfect condition and low mileage - who cares? People looking for cheap deals over there.
