Sounds like the car was sprayed with the bumber on the car. There are 2 black air deflectors that cover about 75% of the opening from the fender side in, so if they are white, the car was sprayed. Remove the grille assemblies and spray them trim black, might help.

What year TL? 04-06, might be a good time to customize and install the 03-05 Accord bumper fogs and spray the rest with the aforementioned black trim paint.

I understood that...I guess I meant since he'll have to pull the grills out to paint behind it anyway, might as well throw the fogs in. make sure it's not normal though...if it is you might be pissed to have to remove black spray paint from there. I can't help cause my car is black to begin with.

PS...after MONTHS of having my car I realized that the lip on the rear bumper that gets covered when the trunk closes, has a twist upward toward the center. I thought I effed it up upon installing the tails. Had to check with a neighbor to see his TL's to realize it was normal and put my mind at ease.

It's normal only when the bumper is repainted and the air deflectors aren't taped off properly. Try and buy the air delector from Acura with a body color, they don't exist.

Mine, more or less, looks the same. But in SSM. The front bumper has not been repainted.
If by air deflector you mean the black plastic piece that deflects air into the radiator [along with the two winglets]--those are black for me.
I don't think OP has an issue with the deflectors---I think those are attached to the radiator support anyways.
