Good deal on 05?

I am in the market for an 05 or 06 with nav and I am being tempted by this one. I'd like to find a deal on a '06 WDP on Black with nav, but I'm finding that they are hard to come by for a reasonable price. Should I jump on it or conitnue to shop?

2005 WDP
47k miles
One Owner (off Lease)
No Nav (will do the conversion)
Needs a set of Mats (not with car)

I can get it for $14,900

Not a bad price actually. If thats the original Dealer's price you may be able to lower it or say 14.7 out the door. Is the NAV conversion included on the price? If you really want the NAVI than you should pass because you'll find all the harness and the NAVI which cost easily 1.5K and installation is easy, but may not too a novice (assuming you are one, like me) so it may cost 3-400 of labor. So you're leaning toward 2k on just NAVI. If you really want NAVI than skip, if not, deal with dealer and get it.

Don't hesitate to check other sorrounding cities for our TL's even if they are 100 miles away, but if you find a deal, at the end it is worth it.

This is their bottom dollar... we started at $16,900. Plus they're giving me a fair amount for my 03 G35 sedan. The price is with or without my trade.

I would do the nav conversion myself and it will cost ~$1700, so i figured I'd have just over $16,500 in the car with nav, which would not be bad. I can't seem to find any lower mile white ones with nav in this price range within 500 miles. This one is 120 miles from me.

Dealer doing a nav conversion sounds like

The price is good. You might be able to go a little lower. I'd shoot for $13k and be firm.. you may compromise around $13.9k or $14k.

Seems like a good deal and your plan is also. Get it if you're happy with your purchase and choices. Just keep this in mind, if you're going to stay on these forums, you're going to get mod happy! If you're going to get WDP, best look mod for a WDP is the body kit. $800

so you haggled already and $14.9k is their last offer for a non-navi & you are going to do the nav conversion yourself.. I gotcha.. then it's not a great deal. I would hold out.. it usually takes a few months to find what you really want. Find the TL that you want with the options you want.. you'll find it.

I would also put your G35 for private party sale. Whatever they offered for trade isn't worth it unless it's the excellent trade-in value in kbb.

I have decided to hold off. I may just pay a little more and wait to find an 06 white on black with nav. Spending $15 and then doing the nav is not worth it, considering the hassle, time, and money.

I do plan to sell the G35 on my own, but they were about a $1000 off my bottom dollar, so I figured I'd make it easy and trade it in. THanks!

You'll find it.. check out the Black Market in the Off-Topic section for members cars for sale as well.. You can also post up a WTB: 05'/'06 WDP / Black w/ Navi.

There are some members here who came on the board looking for the TL of thier choice. They held out and eventually found what they were looking for and are very happy. You don't want to regret not getting the options you want at the price you want. GL! on the TL shopping, get back to us on some pre-inspection tips if needed.. btw.. Carfax & Autocheck only tell 10% of the story, get a full maintenance history.

Well, that's the thing... I thought it was priced very low compared to what I'm finding. I can't find a clean 05/06 White TL when doing a coast-to-coast search for under $16k. And white with nav for under $18k. I see most 05/6 non navi models under 50k go for $16k-$20k.

I know the prices seem to drop quite a bit when you get to the 60k+ mile range, but I'm not interested in anything with over 50k miles. I have a buying agent that is telling me that he can get a clean 05 w/nav with ~20k-30k miles for me for around $17k.

I've checked some places in Michigan (via Autotrader) and most of those cars are overpriced or usually 06-08 with low miles. I think you need to either check craigslist, or find one in another state.

Good luck with your purchase.

Thanks. I am searching out to about a 500 mile radius, and sometimes farther. I still can't find much close to the deal I backed out of. not having the nav doesn't bother me, since I feel comfortable doing the conversion myself. I've been looking for the past couple months, so it's not like this deal was the first one for me. I may reconsider.

What are your thoughts on this one? Too much? It seems pretty reasonable compared to what I see low mile 06's go for. It is a local private sale and the car is mint.

2006 NBP w/nav, 27k miles, Aspec kit. best he'll do is $21k

For any members looking to sell, my two colors are WDP and NBP.

too much.. a member here bought a '07 TL-S for $22.9K.. supply & demand will determine regional prices.. might need to start browsing ebay.. look for Acura dealerships with TL's.. stay away from small indie dealerships unless they take it to be independently inspected for you.

Trust me, I search online on a daily basis...ebay, autotrader, craigslist, etc. and search coast-to-coast. The 06 i posted about only has the Aspec body kit, not the full kit. $22.9k for an 07 TLS-type is a great deal. Was it clean with no history? I do see TL's go for much less, but typically there's a long poor history with them.

yeah the TL-S was absolutely clean.. I think it had 25k miles.. Car shopping for a particular car can take months.. It took me ~4 months.. and I should have waited longer.. long story.. just keep at it.. you'll find her.

I think I found the one..... I am close to closing a deal on a single owner 2006 WDP, 52k miles, with nav for $16k.

However, the car is in New York so I am trying to figure out the best way to complete the transaction. I've researched everything on the car and everything is legit. I am having the local acura dealer do an inspection as well. Anyone in the westchester larchmont area? I may just fly out and do the deal, but time is an issue right now, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Thoughts?
