Seatbelt tip

My problem is my seats are positioned so that the buckle wont really fit between the seat and the b-pillar. I don't want to rub a hole in the side of the seat either. I found that if you let the buckle retract, and then pull the buckle to the top by the plastic clip it will stay. Works grea and minimal effort if you don't cosntantly have passengers. I like to keep it up there to prevent any noise from jostling around and prevent seat damage. Just and idea. Slide it right to the the top!

I aim so I don't have to clean the toilet as often.

Regardless, I'll have to check into that suggestion.

Do you use Tidy-Bowl® or another cleaning product?

Been doing the same thing since I saw my wife's '02 has her pillar by the seatbelt all dinged up...so I have been taking the extra time to do exactly what you described...so far it is paying off big time.

Nice suggestion! I never would have thought of it. Will implement immediately on the passenger side of the car.

This is one source of the "rattles" some people complain about!!! Its not a damn rattle, its ur seat buckle clicking against the pillar!! People need to recognize this before complaining! :banghead:

I have been doing this since I got my TL because one of the TLs that I looked at before I purchased mine had about 10 scuff marks on the passenger side. Looked like crap. This does work but is a bit of a pain in the butt to always think about. For those of you who do get these scuff marks, my Cust Ser rep has some type of solution that he put on mine to cover one up - it helped a lot but the scuff is still there. And, unfortunatly it does nothing to protect it.

He also gave me a very good suggestion but I have not tried it yet. One of his female customers sewed a little "knob" right at the point in the belt that will keep the buckle above the seat - said it worked like a charm. Have to try it out.

I Zaino my bowl. It gives it that shine I'm always looking for...nearly blinds me when I try to aim and shoot at times...

I never thought of that. Does it help flush efficiency? Minimize streaks? How well does it bead?

Okay, I took it too far. I'll stop now

Be a neatie, wipe the seatie.

Great tip, moreace. Sliding the buckle to the top is one of those really simple ideas that works!
