Seat Settings Lost

I took my car in for service.. when they returned it, the seats had been adjusted by someone in service..

Not a big deal, but the seat and mirror settings I worked on so hard to get right would not return.

When I hit the buttons for memory they would just light.

When I went out of the car and came back in it detected driver 1 but no settings...

Anyone else have this happen. They didn't disconect the battery or anything.. I do not know why these were lost.

Mike

Mine keep goimg out about once a week. Usually Driver 2 first, or rather we notice it when the Mrs. gets in, an nothing happens. I'm logging these issues and will have them addressed at the first service/oil change.

What causes it. Mine was fine untilt he dealer took it away. When I got the car back and the seats were all messed up I was not pissed until the settings were gone. Both of them.

Exclamation UPDATE - Acura still searching for fix

OK, here is the deal as of today regarding a fix to the absent minded TL on memory seats.

Acura Tech Line told my dealer today that many cars are having this problem and they are “working” on a fix. So for now, they are recording those that are having this issue and trying to figure out how to fix it.

I guess there is a ghost in the machine

Mine appeare to be going out more and more.

As long as you notice it, before anyc hanges are made, you can just press MEMO and 1 ( or 2)

I've had this happen about once a week. Luckily I am the primary driver so have been able to just press the memo and 1 and kept my settings. However, the other driver's settings are long lost. Hopefully they will come up and a fix shortly.

I have noticed it only happens when I move the seat to its fully back position? Must be some seat contrl program snafu. They should have a fix soon, I hope>

I've noticed it as well. Hopefully Acura will figure it out before I ask my dealer to fix it at the first oil change ....

Hello all....

Regarding the Seat Memory Problem:

Just got call from my service rep and he told me that there is now a FIX for the problem!! The Acura Engineers have identified the problem and are now waiting for new parts availability.

He mentioned that this should hopefully be fixed my next week.

Mengle - I assume that we use the same dealer. Which service rep are you working with?

Thanks

bigdomer,

I am working w/ Gary Force in Cool Springs. My service rep is Randy Dufresne.

Have you had your car in there yet? Any problems other than the memory seating?? So far, I have been fortunate...my only other issue is the tire vibration after the car sits for an extended period of time.

Same here but more!

We just got our TL two weeks ago and a big selling point was the seat memory. My wife and I are very different in height and I figured this feature would make switching cars easier. The first time I take the TL to work everything works great... until I bring it home and all of my wife's settings are GONE! So... I'm back to the Jeep kids. Hope Acura figures this out SOON!

It is reported that Acura is aware of the issue and will have a fix in a few weeks at the latest.

This doesn't happen ALL the time.. it is intermittent.

I also experienced this 2 days ago. The only change I did was to put the seat back to sleep and I lost my settings. Perhaps that what cause the problem.

Owners here in SO Cal. Post a thread if you heard a legit fix to this problem so that we can bring our car in to get this fix.

Anyone know if there is a VIN after which the seat memory "fix" is factory installed?
