Seat protection

I have a 04 tl as a daily and I was wondering if there was any pads or something to protect the leather seat from the left side. When you go in and seat down.

seat cover is the only thing they had, Honda leather seat is the crapiest out of all leather seat, I owned a Lexus with 180k miles on the clock the leather almost never had conditioning/ cleaning, park under Texas sun for 10 years with almost no sun shade and yet the seat still looks better than my TL with 91k miles on the clock that spend just 1.5 years here in TX. I do conditioning my leather every two months BTW.

A high quality seat cover is about the only way to protect it.

Nothing short of changing your entry method. The only shortcoming of this vehicle is the INEXCUSABLE quality of the leather.

Not that I've seen. Though my seats are very prone to cracking, I'm certain they'll last for many more years.

After 11 years, I finally wore a slight hole in the leather on the left side bolster. This may not be for everyone, but I bought some clear Gorilla tape and put it on the bolster and it's stopped the wear. I hardly even know it's there.

Costco had some Cover-King [neoprene?] seat covers on sale a couple of weeks ago, in addition to various sheepskin ones; the Cover-Kings are compatible with seat-mounted airbags.

My seats are actually in pretty good shape, but no-slip seat covers would be nice for autocrossing.

^ Yeah, typically dependable seat covers will run you anywhere from $250-400 per row.

My understanding is that the side bolsters are vinyl, NOT leather. I thought this is pretty well known, but wanted to clarity. It doesn't change the overall point that the vinyl quality (and leather) is pretty crappy...
