Saw a new 04 TL!
Saw a new 04 TL!
Alright, i know there are pics everywhere so please do not ask for them, they can be everywhere.
anyways, my thoughts:
I pay attention to every car so its no wonder i caught this.
When i saw it, it was going the other direction. Saw the headlights first, though it was a TSX. Since i liked the TSX, i kept looking a bit longer. I saw the weird line across and figured out it was a TL. Looking back, i saw the rear lights which gave away.
Long story short, i wasted 4 miles and bunches of gas catching up to him.
Let me be the first to say that the design does NOT stand out as much as i thought. Sitting behind him for a while, i was overall impressed but as I looked around, no one was looking at it. Everyone walked by it like it was just another common car.
Not to say it isnt beautiful, but the styling is conservative still, and it doesnt draw attention. The side profile is nice, and the rear is hot. If it wasnt for the rear of the car i dont think anyone would look at it twice.
Best of all, barely any wheel gap! It seems that they took care of all the problems we have complained about in the past.
Interior is bombing, i think it is the nicest sporty/lux interior i have yet to see. The tsx is also very good.
All in all it is very nice but it looks like acura is mixing categories. The car is definately alot smaller in appearance, somewhat sporty, and lots of luxury. Thats a tough crowd they are targeting with all the competition, but who knows, maybe it will work.
A final intersting note: In the pics i have seen so far, they call the car a "TL"
The badges on this car were "3.2TL"
THe 3.2 remains. Also, the front calipers were painted black, but i didnt catch any brembo writing.

2004 TL, i totally forgot about the third gen forum. mods, move this thread!
anyways, i think it is necessary for this forum as well because many of us here are thinking of upgrading. i dont check the third gen forum ever but i am sure if some cool info came up, id want someone to post it up on sec. gen forum
it said 3.2TL, i sat behind the car for 2 minutes staring at the rear!
as for pics, i didnt have a camera at hand, but the acura site has many pics that do the TL justice.

But that body kit and rims and lip spoiler are normal options, NOT the A-Spec..
I think A-Spec Rims, Bodykit, Spoiler, Suspension (Lowered), Better Brake Pads, and much more will be different..
I mean they have to make the A-Spec better, or have something more that will make people buy it
