Roof Spoiler?

Does anyone know if the lip spoiler for 04-06 TL can make a perfect fit for a roof spoiler on a 07-08 TL-S?

-Thanks in advance

You can just measure it out, should be 115cm across. I dont see why acura would change the window width on the new ones. When i measured mine i just used a string or shoe lace to get the length, and then just measured that off instead of putting a measuring tape/ruler to the car.

You would have to ensure that it doesn't block the third brake light though. So, I guess that's a matter of the width?

Just took a second look at this post and realized you were wondering about the OEM Lip Spoiler. If im not mistaken that spoiler has a slight wrap around on the deck lid. If so, it will not sit flush on the window unless it is a bendable enough material. Even if so, the deck lid side to side is alot narrower than the window is.

This pic is from my first attempt at a roof spoiler and i bought the 04-06 TL Lip Spoiler (Not OEM) and this was the gap left on each side.

As stated though a spoiler of the mentioned sizes will fit perfectly, and can be found fairly cheap on ebay in alot of styles from unpainted to painted, or even faux carbon fiber like i have.

Hope this helps.

thats pretty sick, i love that idea actually. i don't know if its the lighting but the color matching on your rear bumper horrible. i feel your pain because my silver TL is the same way.

The color match isnt as bad as it is in the pics. besides, i have the type s rear lip on now, it helps. people dont even see a color mismatch nemore cause they like the type s rear lip

The only models that come with a "wing" are
ASPEC TLs: Full ASPEC Body Kit (including spoiler), Suspension, and Wheels.
TL Type S: Which comes with the Type S Rear Lip Spoiler.

So unless the car is a Type S or ASPEC all other spoilers/lips are factory add ons and did not come on the car as a package.

so which do you want?
the one on the trunk? or the one on the rear windshield?

the one on the trunk you can get from tim @ hondaacuraworld painted and ready to match your color
the one on the rear windshield is for sale on ebay for real cheap just has to be $45 inches, you can get the imitation carbon fiber or a flat black that you can later match to your body color

Pics of my car or cars with the ASPEC or Type S lip?

If it is mine you can click on my name in this post and go to my profile. Then once at that page click on the link to see threads that i have started, and you will see a bunch of my posts.

IMHO two lip spoilers looks kinda funny sometimes. But then some times it doesnt. It all depends on color and size of the car and spoiler. There are a few guys on here that have the roof spoiler and a lip spoiler on the deck lid. Not sure exactly who, just gonna have to search around for it.

I just got my roof spoiler put on this weekend. See my post at https://acurazine.com/forums/ramblings-12/wasps-176033/. I really like it and looks great. I've got all the details on purchasing one on my post.

Have the same carbon fiber roof spoiler on my 07 KBP TL S Type, fits great and looks just awesome. Purchased mine off eBay and arrived in about a week. Took less than fifteen minutes to setup and install. Highly recommend it.

sT04Louis, hey you have the same exact spoiler as mine which is very hard to come by. Where did you buy yours because everyone keeps asking me. But the vendor I used stopped selling it. Apparently the only CF spoiler available nowadays is a different one that is thinner and cheap looking.

I think I know the answer but would a 45.5" spoiler fit? Or would it be to wide?

That's what i thought. I have to go through the other threads about the roof spoilers to find out what car had the 45" spoiler. I think it was the Galant.
