RonJon Devotion Type III, Reincarnated!! (updated pics pg. 5)**Now Available**
So, I decided to run with it, The Original Devotion-3pF reincarnated into the
Devotion Type III, a true Three Piece wheel with OEM level quality.
We are going to stock this wheel and it will be available as of December 2007.
Details on finishes and pricing will be released soon, but we are still in the prototype phase right now. Cost will be alot lower than the $900-$1000 per wheel of the previous forged wheel. Keep in mind that the center (face portion) is low pressure cast and extremely strong. The Lip is a Spun forged chrome style and the inside hoop is an anodized spun forged barrel. Weight will be comparable with OEm, but the 3-piece construction will make this wheel look amazing, with such a mixture of materials all together on the same wheel. There will also be miniture badge emblems on the center between the lug nuts and an amazing jewelry-like centercap.
Here are the specs to be released:
19" x 8.5"
40mm offset,
5 x 114.3 bolt pattern,
hubcentric 64.1 centerbore,
TPMS compatible alongside the long stem hidden valve.
BBK clearance with a 1.25" lip
20" x 8.5"
40mm offset,
5 x 114.3 bolt pattern,
hubcentric 64.1 centerbore,
TPMS compatible alongside the long stem hidden valve.
3.0" lip with a recessed face
Standard finishes:
Chrome lip with a Matte Satin Silver Face
Possible finishes:
Black metallic face, Liquid Graphite face, or Chrome Plated face.

wow, those are beautiful ...though i can't ever afford them. Rondog, what will be the approximate weight of these? Will it be 1 pound per inch like the old devotions. And no RL/MDX fitments?

I think you should get more aggressive with the offset... the 3G has plenty of room under those fenders...

19" will clear the BBK, 20" won't, but after a test fit and swapping out some hoops, I think we might be able to pull off a stagger style lip to accomodate the BBK.
Weight will not be 1 lb per inch, only the Monoblock Devotion-1pF was able to pull that off. The rivet bolts used to hold the wheel together adds a bit of weight, but it should still be fairly light weight relative to the OEM wheels.
As for the offset, with a 245 tire, the room under the wheel well will be a little tighter than normal. Maybe a 38mm offset will be used, but for now, I have to receive the wheel and test fit it as I alwasy do with the prototypes.

Tell you the truth, the Legends will be more of a mainstream wheel, Lighter in weight, sportier and larger volume of production with alot lower cost.
These Devotion Type III wheels will be 19" and 20". much more Luxury, more exclusive, more bling.
So in conclusion, the two wheels are in different categories, and the competition between them is almost like the Accord and TL, very little overlapping for the customer preference after all factors have been considered.

Thats hot!
Any chance they can be available fully silver? (with non-chrome lip)
Well seeing that it's a 3pc, do you have polished lips with a squared(tapered) edge instead of rounded edge?

Those wheels look amazing. To bad that you aren't making them 17" with 4-lugs because then I might just buy some because those would look crazy on my TL.

My first Avatar....
Will the Black face, be high gloss, along with the chrome lip?
If so......
How about an 18"x8" for those of us who are plagued by bad roads.

Man I didn't expect you to bring these out
I hope you'll still have these in production when the '09 TL comes out because I'd surely slap these on it when I get mine Timeless beauty...

sorry, no 18" as of now.
The black face will be a satin or semi gloss black, trust me, it looks CRAZY good with the chrome lip.
Sorry, no polished lip, thats too much maintenance. We already did it and regretted it.
Deposits as soon as we finalize production. You'll see it in this threrad when to place them.

Damnit Ron. I'm trying to stay unique here.
Do you know how it feels to attend a meet where NO ONE has your wheels?
Just kidding. Good luck. I'm sure they will do well. Hottest wheels on the market for the 3rd gen.

Ok, the difference between these and the OG Devotion-3pF is that these centers are Low pressure cast, so the spokes have to be a little thicker to maintain strength. So cTLgo and lilvinnyb, you guys still have pretty exclusive wheels.
Legend Type II are still well under way, with the 20" version arriving on the 25th of Sept, and the 19" version following soon after.
As for the Lip kit, I am in the process right now of finding a reliable polyurethane supplier, but I am going to start a GB thread soon when I am certain it can be done with high quality in a timely fashion.

Just got the Devotion Type III sample in yesterday, and it was sent to NOPI in Atlanta to disply in our booth. When it gets back I'll shoot it on the car.
Also received the final 3D of the 19" x 8.5" Legend Type II with BBK clearance. We have two finishes planned for this one, a Liquid Silver face with Mirror lip to mate up with the 20" Type II, and a nice Gun metal with Mirror Face and lip as shown here:

Hey Ron, I love the design of the Legend Type IIs. Is there any plans for a glossy black/chrome lip Legend Type II? I think they would look sick on my WDP, im going for that black on white look. Im hoping you say yes...
