Roadblock vs. Ventureshield
I'm considering adding the clear protective coat to my brand new 06 TL. Anyone out there with any good/bad experiences in this area? Worth investing $$ on any of these two products? Thanks for any info.

I just got the VentureShield put on and it seems to be pretty good stuff. It is very clear, no orange peel. Of course time will tell how it holds up, but I'm satisfied for now.

Any you should add where you are located. That would help . I live in NJ and can give you an excellent company.

I've had Avery Film, Venture and 3M.
My experience with Avery was very bad. On a white car it started to yellow and had glue around the edges. Venture film was good but stained very easy. The new 3M stuff is great. It has a clearcoat to help with the stains and the clarity seems good.

I have been reading threads after threads about these films and also saw them being installed first hand. After a lot of considerations, I went with Venture.
The reason is simple, Venture is very clear, shows almost no texture, and almost puncture-proof. It's very stretchable without showing stretch marks. However, it doesn't have clear coat so it is easy to turn cloudy or dull if left unmaintained for a period of time. It also stains if left unattended because of the lack of clear coat. However, if you maintain it and it still yellows or cracks, it's covered by a lifetime warranty.
3M is a very good product too, but it shows more orange peel because of the clear coat. Clear coat also makes it stiffer and harder to stretch without showing stretch marks. The clear coat also makes the wrapped paint looks shinier than the rest of the car. The good thing about clear coat is you can treat it like regular paint and the finish is very durable. I believe 3M warranty is 5 years.
Ideally, if your car is a daily driver and parked outside regularly and/or you don't have a place to wash it weekly and wax it monthly, 3M might be a better choice, but it shows more. If you have time and energy to maintain the film, Venture looks better on the car.
My clear bra was just installed 2 days ago (7/25). I hope it will last.

Clear coat
Thanks to evryone for the info provided. I forgot to say that I live in Jacksonville, Florida. The closest installer of Ventureshield is located in Ocala, about 100 miles south. The 3m product (RockBlock) is available through any of the two Acura dealerships in town. I made my decision to go with the 3M product after negotiating a satisfactory price with one of the dealerships and saved myself a long drive. I'll ask for the new 3M film when I take my car in on Monday. Thanks again for coming to the rescue!!
