It was a month short of its 15 year birthday. Its been a great car to me for its entire life. The engine has always been incredibly reliable, despite some other parts of the car showing its age. it was less than 200 miles short of 175k.
Not sure how to embed youtube links but here is the dashcam footage
Im not sure whats next but I think ill be taking a look at the new 2.0T 6mt Accords and Civic SI's. Its been fun hanging around these forums. Im sure ill still lurk to see how these cars hold up into their old age.
wow that was one late red light
glad your ok OP, it sucks that the TL is totalled.
Right now, personally, I would be looking for another TL, preferably a 6mt since nothing in the market currently attracts my attention in the price range

Yea im completely lost for what to look for but ive started stumbling across some 2012 6mt sh-awd TLs which have started to catch my interest. the 3g just looks so much better. The other option was a 13/14 GS 350 AWD F-Sport, which seem real nice but the lack of a manual transmission kind of turns me off from it. Those GS's look decent too, before lexus went nuts with their styling.
I would honestly consider a 4G in 6mt....simply because of the updated tech and more power.
but if you can find a nicely kept 3g, its a no brainer. Sadly, because of their age now, they are much harder to find and the ones you usually do see have been neglected
the last 4g that popped up in my area was a couple weeks ago. It was white with the aspec kit, single owner, with only 7300 km (yes that's not a typo).
But the owner wanted 25K for a 6 year old car....no thanks
