Rip 2004 am tl

I was on my way to meet my bro and a buddy for dinner on Sunday night. Was driving about 50mph through an intersection when a Jeep Liberty decided to turn left in front of me. The jeep made contact with me on the front driver's side with her front passenger side. Scared the sh*t outta me cause I didn't even see her coming until it was too late! Upon impact my TL pushed the jeep out of the way facing the direction that I was going and continued moving forward for about 20 feet. Both front airbags deployed and every compartment in the car flew open. I walked away with a sprained neck and wrist. Fortunately nobody was seriously hurt. I had just gotten my car exactly how I wanted it...clear lights, replaced all speakers with infinity, and tinted windows. Excuse the cell phone pics.

Guess its time to upgrade to a type-s

Ouch! Thankfully you're ok which is what matters the most. How much insurance going to give you? Def. get a Type-S if you have enough money, and give me those wheels/tires before the insurance claims them! (Ill give you my 06 wheels/tires just to put them on so it seemed like nothing changed )

Again the TL demonstrates why it's such a safe vehicle. Glad you're not injured too seriously.

On a side note, do you have any more pictures of your car with those 07-08 base rims?

damn, its good to hear that you are ok. How's your friend doing? The TL is very safe and its meant to sacrifice itself to spread the load and keep it's occupants from being injured. I'm just wondering how the woman missed you in the jeep with the bright HID's of the TL....

Looks like the driver of the jeep didn't even notice you, which doesn't make sense to me, because of the side marker lights. I was almost swerved into a few days ago by a tahoe

Show your insurance the receipts of anything aftermarket that was damaged

Also if they don't claim it a total loss immediately, push for it

Hey thanks everybody! It is definitely inconvenient but I think it will work out in my favor. It turns out that the jeep was a company car (Russell Stouffer), so I'm thinking that this will be a good thing. I did go to the doctor and got x-rays done and thankfully nothing was broken. I talked to the driver of the jeep and she said that she was adjusting the radio and didn't see me at all!

I have some other pics of the car before it was wrecked which I will try to post tonight. I'm deciding between WDP and NBP for a type-s. I do know that I'm gonna try to get one with an a-spec kit already on it. I'm having a vision of a WDP with black rims though!

Glad you're okay! this upsets me.. another stupid *ck who puts someones life on the line. If it were me.. idk.. I'd probably revoke her driving privileges by ripping her *effin arms off. It's just a car and your lives are what's important. You can replace everything else. +1 on the Type-S.

flipping the radio stations... steering wheel controls prevent accidents!

Its good to hear that nothing is broken. I think WDP a-spec like blackura's FTW!

Don't start flaming braddah.. you guys can't be narrow minded about drivers. The best we can do is be vigilant and defensive. I have my own thoughts about drivers but it is a very cultural thing. If you haven't been to Korea (not so bad) or India (Holy *ish).. you're sheltered.. Now.. when you start mixing cultures.. (ahem.. NY).. lol.. don't get me started on TX (ie. BIG TRUCK = I OWN ROAD).

Anyone, man or woman, can cause an accident! It's all about paying attention, yes there are some bad female drivers but there are bad male drivers too. Oh wait maybe you have never seen a man driving that wasn't paying attention right??

India = Why even have red lights there, every one just does what they want, at least i did with the other billion folks there, but I do agree that we shouldn't be flaming women drivers.... some are good, some are horible, just like that few percent of men.

Sorry to hear what happened, glad your good though. Insurance probably gonna claim it a total loss since the bags blew, and the front end is pretty much done... Anyways, what's on your plate for a next car?

Talked to the insurance rep this afternoon, looking like I'm gonna get compensated for pain/suffering and missed work but the jury is still out on whether the car is totaled. So hopefully I will have a paid for type-s in a few weeks. As far as the other driver is concerned, I was honestly pissed when I first managed to get out of the car, but she was so nice about it I didn't stay mad long. It was an accident so there ain't much that getting mad is gonna do. But, girls aren't the only ones who are bad drivers around where I live! Thanks for the comments everybody.
