Revs on a 2007 TL 5AT

What Revs do you guys get for your TL?

At 65 constant, it is right below 2000rpm/min.
At 70 constant, it is right at 2000rpm/min.
At 75 constant, it is 1 tick above 2000 rpm/min.
At 80 constant, it is 3 tick above 2000 rpm/min.

somewhat flat surface, lot's of curves. Measured as of today (winter season)

Sounds about right. My 2008 Base TL is about exactly the same as what you linked.

Curious, why are you even taking these measurements for? What are you trying to do?

The 07-08 tl, type s and base have exact same transmission with exact same gearing. 04-06 is similar but slightly diff

Had a little time so here's some information. The '07-'08 A/T cars will turn a slightly higher RPM at any given speed in any given gear, with the exception of 5th. At 60 MPH the '07-'08 has the dubious honor of turning 10 RPM less the the '04-'06 version, but in first at 40 mph, the '07-'08 will see 6082 RPM but the '04-'06 will be at 5935 RPM:
'04-'06
1-2.563
2-1.552
3-1.021
4-0.666
5-0.480
Final-4.428

'07-'08
1-2.697
2-1.606
3-1.071
4-0.693
5-0.490
Final-4.312

This would seem to indicate that the '07-'08 may have slightly better acceleration, but I would assume that to be negated because of the additional weight.

^^^I knew it was truth, they did the same thing with 2nd gen Legend too. 94-95 AT LS, GS has higher RPM compare to 91-93 AT.

M/T's are a different story:
1-3.933
2-2.478
3-1.700
4-1.250
5-0.975
6-0.77
Final-3.285

A/T & M/T very different, it's like comparing apples and oranges. One of my cars is a 5 speed and in first at 7000 RPM it's only at 35MPH.

I guarantee you that my car cannot be in 40mph in 1st gear at 6082rpm, more like right at redline, or maybe I can't even reach 40 in 1st I thought my 1st gear ended at like 38-39 mph. My type s has exact same transmission as 07-08 base tl

Better take it up with the following:

http://wahiduddin.net/calc/calc_speed_rpm.htm

or

http://www.bgsoflex.com/cgi-bin/rpmm...=6000&mph=60.0

Because my 08 AT base tops out 1st gear at about 37MPH.

2nd gear is from 37-39MPH all the way til 65-70 mph

I don't understand what you mean by
"but in first at 40 mph, the '07-'08 will see 6082 RPM"
Our redline is at about 6700RPM. If the 07-08 is at 40MPH at 6000RPM than that means we will be able to hit ~45mph by 6.7k RPM.

That's clearly not the case because 1st gear tops out at ~37MPH @ 6700RPM.

What I'm saying is that the formulas that are listed do the calculations for RPM/MPH and are pretty precise, so I don't what to tell you as I've never had the TL maxed out in first gear to dispute your claim.

If you review the following for the '07 A/T as posted by the OP:
At 65 constant, it is right below 2000rpm/min.
At 70 constant, it is right at 2000rpm/min.
At 75 constant, it is 1 tick above 2000 rpm/min.
At 80 constant, it is 3 tick above 2000 rpm/min.

Then do the calculations using a formula, you'll find the following, and the results are pretty close depending on tire size and speedometer error, but certainly not even close to the 10 MPH error that you claim:
65-1835
70-1975
75-2115
80-2260
