Resetting the MID too early.

Resetting the MID too early.
Everytime the MID displays less than 20% oil life, I would replace the oil and filter. Then I would reset the the MID. I never get to see the codes (AB123456). I didn't know those codes only pops up when it reaches less than 15% oil life. I just recently find out about this. So all these time, I missed out what has to be serviced besides oil change and tire rotations. I rotated my tires regardless of the MID reminder. So now I don't know what needs to be serviced. I thought if I reset the MID, it will only reset the AB codes. I thought subcodes 123456 would not be affected. So, is it true if I reset the MID, it will reset subcodes 123456 as well? My car's mileage is 28,800 miles now. Please tell me what needs to be replaced besides changing oil and tire rotation.
Can you tell me how many miles to replace
-air cleaner element, dust/pollen filter (subcode 2)
-transmission fluid and transfer fluid (subcode 3)
-spark plugs and timing belt (subcode 4)
-engine coolant (subcode 5)
-rear differential fluid (subcode 6)
Your comments, advices, and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading my post.

If you notice when you are reseting your mid, it will flash the sub code before it resets. When you are holding it to reset it will first show you in orange writing what you are reseting. I believe it shows you there before it goes to the confirm screen.

Depending upon the conditions where you live, figure on changing your engine and cabin air filters around 15,000 mile intervals.
Plugs and timing belt is 105,000 miles as I recall.
A good rule of thumb for the cooling system is to flush and refill every two years.
There is no rear differential in a FWD car.

If you go by mileage, normal service intervals will be similar to those in 1999:
change oil and filter, inspect brakes, inspect fluids - 7500 miles
change air cleaner and cabin filter - 30,000
check valves - 105,000, otherwise adjust if noisy
change timing belt -105,000
change spark plugs - 105,000
change coolant - 45,000 1st, and 30,000 subsequent
brake fluid - 45,000
transmission fluid - 90,000
inspect drive belts - 30,000

at 28,000 miles you haven't missed much. 2 is the most common number to appear on your MID. Rarely have I seen a 3 on the TL, although some owners prefer to change their trans fluid @ every 30k anyway. As mentioned by bhelsdon, you should see what you're resetting on the orange screen that comes up before you actually reset your oil life. As far as resetting early, don't worry. The computer knows what you're resetting and whether or not it has been officially recommended. At your mileage, the only thing you're likely to have missed is a 2....so look into changing your filters and from now on, wait for that 15%

Subcode 2- 24-30k miles
Subcode 3- 65-70k miles
Subcode 4- around 105k miles
Subcode 5- 120k for initial service, then 60k thereafter. But I'd do it every 60k, as I suspect that the 120k interval (initial) is for marketing purposes, since the Honda coolant jug says 60k miles.

Safety Car
ok guys keep in mind that the miles n info stated in the manual is under normal wear and tear..... which none of us do to these cars.....they say that driving 5 miles and shutting the car off is bad for the car thats considered heavy use.....so all the time/milage intervals that are in the owners manual have to be slashed in half....... thats what the guy at acura told me. I do my oil every 2700 miles because I feel and know thats the roads n conditions here are worse for a car than anywhere else. Im doing my plugs n timing belt next week..I dont trust my car in acuras hands they are all scumbags that dont care for our cars the way we do.
