My front aluminum trim is a little beat up and I want to replace the trim. Prices from the dealer are $175 new each. I found the trim on eBay used from a 2008 TL. My question is will the trim fit on my 2004? Thanks

 

yes it will fit .. i think 07-08 base came in chrome though.

 

The Type S has the chrome trim the base is aluminum

 

Yeah the listing on eBay is for a Base.

 

If you are talking about just the strip on the hood it is only about $40 not $175. Here's the part number: 75120-SEP-A10ZA. And yes...they are interchangeable from 04-08.

An even cheaper option would be to wrap the trim in 3M dinoc...if you're into that look.

Or you can sand it, take it down to a brushed aluminum and clear coat it...there a re a number of threads on Azine about that. Here is one:
