The door lock knobs stick up a bit too high, which doesn't feel too good if you try resting your arm on top of it.

I'm talking about #11 in this parts list , but I don't have any pictures.

Has anyone replaced these with knobs that are not so big? How do they come off/go on? does it just screw on/off?

 

Dont risk it. I unscewed one form my mothers minivan for a long drive, never went all the way back on. YOu could remove this one, shorten it, and redrill it for more threads.

 

Someone on this forum tried to unscrew the knob and it broke. Search on "door lock knob" and you will find a plethora of info.
