Replacement windshield question

Had Safelite replace windshield today. Told them on phone i wanted OEM and wanted to be sure it had acousticshield or layer or whatever. My previous windshield simply had “acousticshield” and some numbers but this one says “Acura” then APTech Lamisafe. Is there a way to know for sure if this windshield has the acoustic layer?

If it says Acura on it, why wouldn't it be OEM?

OEM Acura [3G] TL windshields do have an acoustic layer, as do aftermarket OEM-equivalent windshields for the 3G TL made by AP Tech, Pilkington and other OEM glass suppliers.
The acoustic layer windshield was an advertised feature of the 3G TL.
Earlier cars had the Honda symbol on the glass along with the manufacturer, while later ones ('07+, I think) has the Acura symbol along with manufacturer ID.

Holy crap, a thousand dollars for a freakin' windshield? I had a Pilkington windshield, with the acoustic layer, put on my car for $250 last year. There is no difference in optic or acoustic noise in my car.

When you demand OEM...you pay OEM prices. We had to replace the rear glass in my wife's Terrain and I asked to compare prices for the recommended aftermarket vs OEM....three times the cost. We went aftermarket.

As for my TL...I will cross that bridge if that time ever comes. I really want to spec out OEM...but not sure I am willing to pay the premium for it. I know there are some differences between some of the cheaper brands. Just a matter of figuring out which ones are legit and equal spec vs the ones that cheap out on the layers.

Don't you really mean you'll jump off that bridge?
