Replacement OE Leather (Feeler Thread for Vendor)
A fifth of vodka an evening.
A pack a day habit.
Justin Beiber concerts.
We are all fully well aware that the aforementioned are easily avoidable given a modicum of discipline and restraint, but in excess will cause our temporal self to wear for the worse. But some things in life are unavoidable, such as the inevitable ass-to-leather contact that occurs when we sit in our beloved 3Gs, which will inevitable blister and crack faster then Dirty Frank on a meth bender. While I've made attempts to minimize contact with leather sourced from cows that even Taco Bell would reject, all I have to show for it is a fistful of 'Unsafe Operation of Vehicle' tickets and a displaced disc. Whatever. I was still a full 4" from hitting that school but, but that's neither here nor there.
Like most, my front seat is shot and no volume of Leatherique is going to recover the mess. OEM seat leather, for the base alone, runs $399. So I have reached out to the gents over at LeatherSeats.com to ask if they would consider re-opening their line to include the 3G TL.
I have used their seats in the past, and the quality is top notch. I'll include some images from my previous car to illustrate. Installation is quite straight-forward and I will happily provide the forum with a DIY should this go through.
Are there any other TL owners whom would be interested in purchasing replacements for the OE leather if it was available? If so, please post!

Yep...if you click on the YT video they offer a proper factory match including perforations on the inserts.
I'm in the same boat as most right now. I'll be doing some extensive maintenance in the spring and the front seat HAS to go.
Price is probably going to be a function of demand...so perhaps a GB could be opened if we drum up enough interest.

The front seat leather is getting replaced if I have to skin the damn cow myself.

Sounds good, I will be on the lookout for this thread.. I am currently Taupe interior but have considered, if redoing it completely, to go with complete black for the seats.. Dash and door inserts are already black stock.. And I have all weather black mats so why not black seats which will probably easier to maintain than the Taupe..
Unfortunately, only vendors and sponsors can post these types of threads and as a result I have to close it. There's an "Advertising Information" link at the bottom of the page if they would like to become a vendor.
