Replacement HID lights for 2006 TL

Hey guys, I need to replace my HID for my 2006 TL. Anyone from Toronto or GTA area can recommend a shop that won't cost too much like the stealerships? I will buy the HID from Acura just need a shop with experience to do the job right.

Is it just one bulb?

Buy the oem part(s) off the internet or have them ordered through a dealership.

Personally, I would install them myself, as it is essentially plug-and-play, but dropping the bumper might be difficult for someone who hasn't had that much experience with replacing stuff on their own.

There are some very good tutorials on youtube for this exact procedure. Otherwise, hopefully someone from Toronto can recommend a good shop.

Morimoto XB HID bulb for 50 bucks a pair, can't beat that. Honestly, HID bulbs aren't too hard to DIY. https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...-004-a-598853/

Also in search of new HIDs, would prefer to buy the whole kit if possible, with ballasts and whatnot included.

OEM ballasts are the best for this generation TL though so you'll be spending a lot buying everything you don't need.

Or buy a cree led d2s conversion kit from amazon. Plug and play and much better light output.

worst advice ever. Care to post facts to back up your "better light output" claim @musiclevelz5? . The 3G Projector is one of the best HID projectors on the planet TIL THIS DAY. This ain't your average Civic ebay projector, light pattern and overall distribution will be way off due to shitty LEDs. Get a quality HID bulb and you won't have to worry bout it for a while.

I agree with thoiboi, switching to LEDs would be a HUGE downgrade in lighting quality and distribution. Really bad advice.

To the OP....what is the issue you are trying to resolve? Do you have a mis-colored bulb? Flickering? Or just wanting to "upgrade" in general?

Much better light output to piss off other drivers. Yea, no. LED is not the way to go.

Bulb isn't working at all so needs to be replaced. I've never done this before and it's too cold now to try doing it myself.
Time is coming soon to replace this car...9 years of ownership.
