Replacement door locks

Hey everyone,

I've got a 2008 Base TL, and I was wondering if it was possible to replace the door lock? Specifically, the little piece of plastic thats on the door to manually lock/unlock the door? I want to replace it with something that sits flush on the door.

As well, the piece of plastic on the front passenger side door has somehow come loose. I've tried screwing it back in, but it won't ever get tight again. How would I fix that?

Thanks in advance,
Murali

Hey murali, welcome to Azine!

This is possible...someone did this and it should be in the "garage" section of this page, or DIY. Try searching for it...i remembered reading up on this because the "plastic" piece sticks out too much-making it look like it's not even locked at all!

You are awesome, thank you!

Whoops, spoke too soon... Thats for the key on the exterior of the door... I'm looking for the plastic knob on the interior of the door... You pull it up to unlock the door, push it down to lock the door.

My moms honda odyssey has it in the same spot, but when the doors locked, its flush. On the TL, locked or unlocked, it sticks up... can't stick my arm on there.

I'll keep looking around... not entirely sure what to search for. I did a search for "door lock" and got a bunch of unrelated posts...

People have taken the door panel off and cut it shorter so it will sit flush.
