Replace 06 Tl Bumper
Replace 06 Tl Bumper
What is a good oem tl website to purchase a new front bumper. I had someone back into my TL over the weekend and then drive off at a restaraunt parking lot. I figure the cheapest route would be to buy one oem and then have a local place paint it?
Check any of the online Acura sites.

I've seen some on ebay sell for under $150... but how bad was the hit? cracked or what? most times those can be fixed without the added cost of replacing the bumper
Its actually not bad at all, i dont have a digital camera at the moment but it tore into the bumper probably license plate bracket cover or something from another car. It put almost a little square shape that tore into the bumper. Slight punch through of about 1 in. by 1in.
The problem with the ones on ebay is that they are cheap but shipping is exorbiant. I bought a used one on ebay for around 130 but with the shipping ($70) and the minor damage there was to it, it would have been cheaper to buy one at an Acura dealership.
Yea i am going to go by the dealership today and see what they say. I never ever go to a dealership for body work or service unless its covered by somebody elses insurance. A quote cant hurt..
What color is your car? I have a near perfect, never been in an accident 05 silver bumper laying around not doing anything... I upgraded to the 07 Type S bumper... If you want, I can sell it to you cheap ~$100 all grills included...

Well, got some pictures after I clean it and wash it and before I wrap it up and store it... Anyone knows a good way to ship this and how much (most safe and economical way)?... any input is appriciated

Here is the pic of the lower grills:

all of these parts are spiffy clean and stored on garage shelf... I've already sold the front under spoiler (a local pick up)

Here is the info I found:
There are a bunch of boxes like 48x10x10, 54x8x28,36x21x20 and many other sizes. UPS will combine two of these boxes and make it into one. we can bubble wrap the bumper with bubbles facing the bumper and put it in this box leaving a couple of inches on all sides for padding.
DHL ground or UPS ground will work. Total cost of shipping and supplies will be around a couple of hundred dollars
If you can get the bumper to a UPS store, they shoud take care of it.
