Repaint reflective housing

If your headlights are blacked out, how do you get the reflective part back? My turn signals and parking lights are dim, how do I get the reflective part back? Will Aluminum foil or chrome paint work?

im not sure if u can, i believe when people black house, they mask it so paint doesnt get on there. even if u can get the paint off i doubt it would be reflective still. chrome paint usueally come out silver metallic on plastic.

If you strip the black paint it will remove the reflective color behind the paint you used.. if you use any type of chrome tape, unless done right, will look like crap.. BUT if you want to try you can get the chrome tape from auto stores.. I used it to cover an orange reflector in my old civic headlights..

In your case I would just trade with someone who has factory headlights..

you could try contacting JnC or looking on ebay for broken headlights and try getting some new parts.

A brighter LED isn't going to help much. My switchbacks aren't much help anyway. You can't see anything during the day, but at night their fine. you think if you put a lot of clear coat or something on the turn signal that might help it reflect a little more?
