removing stickers, etc

Hey guys,

Just got my anthracite TL woohoo.

1) Anyways i searched on this forum "peel sticker", "sticker", etc not finding information how to cleanly remove the "warning" stickers on the window. Also, is there a way to cleanly remove the WARNING stickers on the visor?

Thanks!

I peeled my window stickers off, then removed the residue with a little bit of WD-40 (spray on a cloth) then glass cleaner. I haven't touched the visor labels.

I too would love to remove the stickers on my visors. Notably when they are down to block sunlight. I find it frankly dangerous to have this sticker in my face when I really need to be focused on the view - not the sticker.
And I don't want to try just anything as I'm afraid to leave parts of stickers behind that would look worse then the darn sticker.
Any help?

Do not try to remove the visor stickers. There were several threads a few months ago about this, and no one could successfully remove the stickers without leaving a gummy residue. Some people had to buy new visors. One solution was to get some material that was close to the visor color and glue that over the stickers.

Here’s a thread with some info. Do a search on stickers for more. http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/showt...light=stickers

Question

I notice in most of the pics on this board that most people have removed the sticker above the Navi that instructs how to load the CDs. Was this hard or did it come off with little effort?

haha that sticker was peeling itself off so i just peeled it fully off since the part that was off was collecting dust.

Head to the store and pick up "Goo Gone" - then peel off the stickers from the window, use some Goo Gone, and all that residue will disappear.

That sticker is intended to be removed. It will peel right off. Of course, if you can't remember how to load the CDs, you should leave it on as a reminder.

The visor warning is similar to the legal notice on the Navi screen, as GotJazz explained some time ago. You may have seen it before, but someone who's never ridden in your car before or future owners have not, so it's non-removable (unless you REALLY try) and probably shouldn't be removed.

I concur. I tried Goo-Gone on the Navi screen. Not only did it not remove the warning label, but it also made a mess of the screen. Fortunately, a quick application of Zaino and I was back in business!
