I havent done it personally, but theres athread on clearing and blacking headlights. You have to completely take them out, bake them in the oven to melt the glue, then do what ever you want, in your case remove the runners, then glue it back together, and pop it back in the oven. its simple but tedious. ive heard its taken some guys about 2 hours for each light. theres also the risk of them fogging up if you dont seal them up properly.

Very easy process. I've done it numerous times. There is a DIY in the garage on doing this process.

I just did this on Monday and Tuesday. If you've never removed your headlights before, that can be a little daunting. Baking them really isn't that big of a deal. The biggest problem with getting the amber out is that you have to break the plastic "pins" that hold the chrome and amber pieces in. Once you break those off, the amber and chrome come out, but the chrome has to be put back on with epoxy. If you use super glue, and accidentally get some glue on the chrome, it will eat it away (I learned the hard way).

But yeah, there's a lot of information out here, I'll put what I have because I bookmarked all of it.
There's also a YouTube video of how to remove the bumper, if you need help with that.

It's a very classy look... I hope to get some pics of mine up next week.

There is tons of threads here about that, search around, lots of info to be had about moding headlights. I did mine a little over a month ago. Its a pretty straight foward process. Be sure to take your time reselaing them.
