Remove sun roof glass?

Is it possible to easily remove ( and reinstall) the glass in the
sunroof?

I thought it would be hard until I checked the service manual, but it is actually very easy.

Out of curiosity, why would you want to do that?

This thread was helpful for me, too. But in my case, I believe a large leaf blew in-between the moonroof and sunshade. Eventually, it got pushed back by the sunshade and now slides around when I corner. The dealership wants $250 (or more) to do the work. Do any of you know if removing the moonroof & the sunshade is easy or hard?

Thanks,
Thomas

Removing the glass is suprisingly easy. Just those four tiny screws hold the glass in place.

However, the sliding shade panel is very difficult to remove. The whole sunroof frame must come out (the entire big job) before the sliding shade panel can be removed.

I think part of that is because of the TL diet...it probably is missing a lot of the pieces he removed all the time. Am I right?

Right. Those are pics from doing the Sunroof Delete for the TL Diet. The sunroof glass and frame assembly (seen leaning against the car in pic above) were permanently removed. A carbon fiber panel was made to fill the sunroof opening.
