IJDMTOY acura DRL kit lasted maybe 7 months, some of the LEDs on the bulb burned out, some of them blink off and on. Waste of money

- rear red led blinkers you can barely see it on daylight, waste to money

-front amber switch backs same problem in daylight you cannot see them on.

-license plate LEDs are very bright I do recommend buying these.

Just wanted to let some of guys know before spending $300 on cheap LEDs.

 

Agreed. Their products are pretty substandard. Their switchbacks worked for about a year then I started having problems with one. Ordered for another set and their customer service was really bad. Would have better luck just ordering off Amazon.

Will just try to stick to other brands. As far as HID goes Morimoto is the only one I trust now.

 

I agree! I also bought their led DRL kit and a few months later noticed some of the LEDs are not as bright. For years I've always purchase my LEDs from superbrightleds.com and never had any issues. I might be purchasing their DRL led bulbs and just use it with the ijdmtoy hardness kit.

 

Nobody should buy tower LEDs regardless of the vendor.

It's V3 Triton or none.

 

Soooo OP, did you just not believe me when I constantly say V3 Triton or none at all? A lot of guys on this site whine about the price of them....Ok so then go use some stupid tower LED bulb that sucks in anything but 100% darkness....and even then those huge things don't look good in the housing anyway.
Again, for LED signals it's V3's are leave them stock...period! 1black_seven knows whatsup ;-)

Not sure about the DRL. I've never liked the look of white DRLs over OEM. But if there was a triton bulb or sold ultra-lumen LED for the DRLs Id shoot for that.

 

I never wanted to get tower LEDs after hearing about them die out.

That's why I chose JLC Lighting's 30W Cree 9005.

 

Agreed, got the triton for my rear turns after I had AckTL05 clear them out for me. Holly crap worth every penny!

+1 for tritons. I also have the drl's from vleds but waiting for the car to come back from the body shop.

 

I bought the iJDM DRL harness and installed yesterday. DRLs were working fine, but the bulbs are cheap from some vendor on Amazon. They don't turn on during initial startup like they did when I was testing them, but after driving around for awhile they turn on. Could it be the bulbs?

Just replaced the DRL fuse yesterday since that burnt out yesterday and the DRLs worked fine after.

 

the ijdmtoy drl harness itself is good(very simple and effective), but the led that comes with the harness is poor quality. I recommend using that harness with other bulbs

 

Well they seem to work after the car has been running a few minutes. Now I'm wondering if there's enough power running through the harness or if it just needs some "warm up" time. If I shut the car off after they're on and then immediately turn the DRLs on, they come on. However, if the car has been off for awhile then DRLs come on after a few min.

Works for now I guess, they look much better than the stock halogens imo.

 

I recommend www.VLEDS.com for your led needs... better than superbrightleds, eBay, Amazon, jlc lighting, ijdmtoy...

 

in my opinion each company has its own advantages. some of them are better in certain aspects. vleds has good products for sure but some comparable leds are more expensive than competitors

 

Eventually I will upgrade but for now I'm going to let it run.

 

I also got the ijdmtoy drl harness and I'm looking for a bulb replacement because they turn out very blue. I would like my drl to color match my 5k tritons.

 

Update: upgraded my ijdmtoy led drl towers with vleds 5000k 9005 10led wow what a difference! 1+ vleds. I kept the ijdmtoy harness. So much brighter and whiter!

I also bought new front switch backs and rear LEDs still on back order can't wait to get these.

I have the IJDMTOY DLR's and the harness is great, but the bulbs are cheap. I constantly have to push the left tower back into place as it keeps separating from the backing.. They look great, however, I'll be updating these bulbs soon.

 

Yes the new one is on the left, 5k is the whitest you can get, if you like more white blueish tint get 6k, my headlights need to be restored the lens is a little bit yellowish. I'll be doing that this week sand and lacker clear coat.

 

Those leds are cheap indeed. They look blue/purple. I got a flashlight that's even brighter than those and it's only 1 led.

 

I as well have the iJDMtoy DRL's... went out, they wouldn't warranty them. I like the color, but they suck. They would NOT contact me till after 3 months when the warranty was out and wanted me to buy more crappy bulbs. Im going to be switching to VLED'S as im clearing my headlights. Done with iJDMtoy CRAP!!!
