reducing noise inside the cabin

I don't know if there is such a product available aftermarket - but perhaps there is....

Something to reduce noise from outside, road noise, wind noise, etc... anything? Kind of like the active noise cancelling in the RL - is there anything active or passive that works?

It probably would be very expensive to put an active noise cancelation system in the TL but there are several products on the market like dynamat or something similar that damps noise very effectively. Ask someone from a custom car stereo installation place about it and they should be able to either sell you the stuff and explain where to place it, or they might do it for you if you don't want to try the install yourself. Normally, it's used to damp the floors and door pannel's when they put aftermarket speakers in cars, but it can be used to quiet the car otherwise. Personally, I think the TL is pretty quiet anyway, and Acura did a fantastic job reducing road and wind noise. Have you noticed the felt material in the rear wheelwells? I believe they did that to reduce noise and it seems pretty effective compared to my second generation TL which didn't have the stuff. Good luck!

I would go to a custom stereo place but I can't seem to find a decent place around here. I have tried a couple places and they were just crap and I refuse to let them touch my cars anymore.

I will look into dynamat - are there any other products you guys know about?

There are several products available for DIY .... As to which one is better, can't tell you that. You might have to do price comaparison to find the cheapest. There is Dynamat & Cascade. Also FatMat. Another product is Quiet Car.

Also check this other dampening products
