when I got caught:

1.95 in a 60 the first day i got my TL with no plates on the car, with my grandma on the way to fla. Got away with no ticket or anything. Think my Grandma saved my ass.

2. I was going about 80 in a 25 on a sidestreet with 2 friends in front of me, started to pass my friend and see a cop sitting running radar, jumped on my brakes and got back over. I guess the cop didnt clock me just the front car going 47. This was when I had beer in by back seat on the floor in a box(luckly he didnt see that) got off with just a ticket for 47 in a 25.

When I didnt get caught:

1.In my dads Roush Stage III mustang, on a side street a trans am pulled up behind and flashed brights a lot he proced to try and pass me I gunned it all the way up to about 115. Needless to say he lost.

2. Same night in the Roush went up to 120 on I-435.

3. In the TL on I-435 went up to 135 racing a cobra, Even until i went into 4th.

4. 110 on my ninja 250 for about 25 miles on Hwy 69.

5. 120 going down a hill on I-635

6. 135 on Hwy 71 while on a test drive in a F3i(older 600cc honda bike)

7. 120 somewhere in Tampa in Grandpa's 06 G430

Thats all I can think of... hopefully that will fulfill your need for reckless driving. I know I will get bashed for this but keep it to yourself :flamesuit:

The first few times i got in the tl i thought i would be cool to reverse the car, rev in neutral, and then slam it into drive. All went well until i turned the steering wheel. The car flipped around in a 180 and was facing the other direction. Fortunatly the cars 4 disc brakes and VSA helped me through. Oh and also hit the govern on the 06 TL...about 154 mph.

1. Was at a stop line turning right, had vsa off, kinda floored it, didn't know gravel was on bottom, left a huge dust cloud on a main road while everyone saw me (embarrassing). Luckily no cops.

2. 2AM at night, was at stoplight, floor was wet (previously rained), vsa off, floored it for fun, car steered towards left side (divider), was lucky i didn't run into the divider...i corrected myself.

EDIT:

3. Going 120 MPH coming back from LA. OOOOOHHH HAHA

Yea...those were the stupid years. Now, at age 19 coming close to 20..you look back at those things..and kinda regret it..but it was fun i guess... Don't do crazy stuff anymore...

Edit title of this thread: Please post evidence of stupidity.

I can't believe some of the things I've read in this thread already and it's still short.

Notice the age of those who have posted above (with the exception of JJaber06), that may explain quite a bit

And people are afraid of guns!

These are all good reasons why insurance rates are so high for teenagers or males under 25. We will probably see even better stories coming since there seems to be a lack of embarrassment.

These stories make me want to drive stupid while they're close by (only kidding!)I'm sure people can image situations or remember seeing pictures resulting from things like this and hopefully were not involved with them.

How about renaming the thread "The Acurazine Member Darwin Awards"?

Great idea!

Amazing how the moderators will edit out someone blasting these dipshits but allow them to brag.

Maybe if they had to scrape the remains of their families off the street after one of these fools "I was going about 80 in a 25 on a sidestreet with 2 friends in front of me, started to pass my friend and see a cop sitting running radar, jumped on my brakes and got back over. I guess the cop didnt clock me just the front car going 47. This was when I had beer in by back seat on the floor in a box(luckly he didnt see that)".

I get blasted everytime I question the logic of giving a 17 year-old a $35K car, but in a world where we don't want to offend anyone, I guess I'm the a-hole.

This crap shouldn't even be published, and don't give me the "free speech" sermon because responses like this one are usually removed.

I'm a physician and I've seen some mangled bodies come through the ER. Man you kids need to cool your jets. Stunts like that will get you or some innocent person killed or severely maimed. Even when I was 18-20 yrs old, I did not drive that crazy. Fastest I got was to 80mph on I-95 (at night) in my 80 honda civic and I thought I was a rebel.

Stupidity knows no age. I've seen old guys, soccermoms, cheap cars, classy cars doing some pretty stupid things. I've seen the "I'm late to work so I have to go 100mph and dart in and out of traffic" accidents. I've seen the "It's raining or snowing but I thought I could still drive like normal" accidents. I've seen the "I was on my cell phone while changing CDs and giving my baby in the back seat her bottle" accidents. What's next, the "I was watching the DVD movie in my car and didn't see the guy in front of me" accident

Kids with raging hormones and expensive cars are not the only things we need to worry about on the road. Lack of common sense from experienced drivers is worse.

You took the words right out of my mouth... Couldn't have said it better myself

I saw alot of my friends come home from Iraq, and then kill themselves on a bike or on the highway because they thought they were immortal....

Stop being stupid.... It's not you that's going to pay, it is the guy who has to avoid you while you are doing stupid shit...

I flipped an S2000 and walked (crawled) away. As such, I'm not going to flip my TL. You guys have fun, though.

Speeding, though, is different. Speed limits in non-residential and non-school areas are complete BS and are used specifically for law enforcement revenue. I drive as slow or fast as I am comfortable doing, which is usually 10-15 above the "limit." If I'm in our Honda Pilot, however, it'll depend on whether it's straight or curvy. On the highway, I go 80 unless it's a 55, then I go 70, simply because I'd have to go to court otherwise.

If you guys really want to go nuts, take your car to a track and pay the $300 or so to go as fast as you think you can. It's way better than playing grab-ass with the police.

Gettin the TL kinda changed my driving habits to a slower, safer driver...kinda. But, when i had my 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6, thats a different story. 2 tickets, 1 for tailgating and illegal passing, and another for 86 in a 70. They arent that bad, but i cant remember all the stupid stuff that i didnt get caught doing. Now that i think about...im probably lucky to be alive.

Sorry, but I can't keep this to myself.

The stunts you talked about put not only your own life in danger, but the life of your passengers (your grandma!) and those of all those driving around you.

You think you're ten feet tall and bullet proof, but you're not. If you keep driving like this you're going to kill yourself or someone else. Please stop it.

There is a difference between bashing noobs and censoring content.

Threads like this take care of themselves. Our members have a way of replying that makes it unnecessary to edit out content, as shown by all of the positive replies posted above, with probably more to come.

For each bragging post, there are several which offer constructive criticism and comments designed to make the physically challenged (in certain specific areas) think about what they have done. This makes for an informative and possibly even entertaining thread.

Let's keep it that way so it doesn't have to be closed to prevent the flames from consuming the entire forum and making us go on unemployment.

It would be inaccurate to call it that as these guys are more likely to rid the gene pool of desirable traits by wiping out the innocents who are driving sensibly.

How the hell are all these kids owning 3G TLs? Are they or their parents rich or are they just working two jobs and spending every last penny on a car, while their parents look the other way instead of being responsible parants and helping their kids learn financial responsibility?

I'm sorry... even if my teenage kid could afford a TL, I wouldn't let him buy one until he moved out of the house and paid his own rent, food, etc. THEN, if he can still afford a TL on top of all that, go for it.

The other thing I would NEVER do is put a 270 hp car in the hands of a teenager. My kid is driving a 4 banger until he or she PROVES he can both afford something more and drive it very very responsibly.

I understand what I did was stupid, when I was with my grandma I didnt mean to go that fast I was following a bmw and audi in the middle of virginia @ about 2am. I dont go racing through traffic, cutting people off I have had my fair share of stupid things behind the wheel, They have all been late at night on deserted roads. The beer was not mine but I still had it so it would have been classified as mine but I count myself thankful I didnt seriously injured. Also I wasnt trying to brag or boast these are not things to do so. I was just simply responding to the thread.

I have to say that all of the bashing that is going on towards the younger drivers is unreasonable. Most of us are normal drivers that don't do stupid shit on the road. i must admit that i have driven fast once or twice but after i got pulled over once that all changed. i usually cruise at 8 over and i havn't had a problem since. also, to those of you who don't think it is unreasonable for a 17 yr old to have a TL, dont take it out on us. i worked hard for my car and it was a gift from my parents upon completion of my eagle scout award. yes, i may come from a family that is well off, but i dont go prancing around bragging about my car. i choose the TL because it was such a great car for the price. so in conclusion, yes it is stupid to drive like a maniac, but dont be inconsiderate to every young driver you see because of the actions of a few.

Thanks,

Crap,,,, About 4 years ago I participated in my bosses son making eagle scout.. He got a pat on the back and a chocolate malt! Never figured it ranked enough to justify getting a car.... And the man had plenty of the green stuff..

Obviously nothing against you Frazman, just different prerogative's and parenting..

Heck, if I let my son read your post he would probably join the Scouts....

NOOOOO!!!! That's the kind of stuff my mom would say.

An important part of life is JUDGING/assessing the risks and taking the ones that are relatively safe and make life worth living.

Certain risks, like weaving in and out of traffic with a 15+ mph differential of speed to get somewhere 5 minutes faster or playing Russian roulette, are stupid. Risks such as sky diving, rock climbing or running after that attractive potential significant other, are worth taking and should be taken! Risks like participating in sanctioned auto races are at the racers' discretion and checkbooks.

Maybe with age our risk assessment gets better... At least that's what I tell my wife every time I screw up or plead with her to let me go sky diving...
