Rear wing spoiler bought from trimking off ebay.

Just ordered the wing spoiler for my 06 TL in Alabaster Silver from trimking (ebay)on 1/16/06. I will keep you guys up to date on this whole transaction. The gentleman on the phone was very nice. Price paid was $180 which includes shipping and insurance. More to come later...

I was looking at lip spoilers on eBay myself. The thing that worries me is the longer term paint quality or paint matching. I could get a lip spoiler on eBay for $80 or buy the factory one for $300. I don't want to get a cheap piece of crap. Hmmm.....?

It is not painted from the factory. The trimking guys do the painting. I've read their ebay feedback about the paint matching/quality and everyone says it's a perfect match. I hope they are correct...I'll definately let you guys know. I am very picky!

I can vouch for the quality of the painting, I got a wing spoiler from trimking a while back for my SSM 05 and I couldn't tell the difference between the color of the car and the spoiler (that being said, unfortunately I wasn't able to install mine since I didn't know what I was doing)

don't you have to drill holes on your trunk to install the spoilers ?
I think i'll be scared to do that myself..

I agree with everyone above- I got one in WDP for my 00 TL- looks like OEM and paint match was perfect. I had it installed at an aftermarket shop for $75.

It uses double sided tape. I asked him to add an extra strip of tape in between the normal two. I put it on myself. It's been on five months or more, no problems and looks great. He's a good vendor.

Just received an installed my wing spoiler. The color match is PERFECT! I have the new Alabaster Silver. Delivery took 9 days from the time of order. It was wrapped with bubble wrap and boxed very carefully. I was worried about the weight and the trunk not opening but it works just fine without the use of the stronger trunk springs (not included but not needed). Total price was $180. I highly recommend this wing vs. the factory spoiler ($400+). The install took about one hour and 20 minutes. Not too difficult...just make sure your measurements and spoiler placement is correct BEFORE you drill. I will post some pics tommorrow

Just measure, and use some masking tape to line up the sides.... easy.

No holes necessary for drilling, just sticks on. I have driven in snow and rain many times, it's on there good.

No template. It comes with these black strips with a prong that sticks thru the screw hole in the spoiler. Once you have the spoiler in place you tape the plastic pieces to the car and lift the spoiler off. Double check your placement by putting the spoiler back on the plastic pieces...making sure you dont move the pieces. Then you take a small drill bit and drill thru the prongs. Remove the plastic pieces and take a larger bit (1/4" drill bit) and bore the smaller holes out. Thats about it. If you need some exact measurements just let me know.

I bought it off ebay from trimking1. It was shipped from Canada. Great guys to do business with. I am satisfied. And I'm pretty picky over my car.

No aftermarket spoiler will have the Acura emblem underneath. It is not worth the money to me. So far, I am tickled to death with this spoiler. I was SCARED to death when I had to drill holes into my shiny new TL. The holes were drilled perfect........what a relief!

Well I think that is a matter of opinion, I rather have the springs to compensate for the added weight.

I have nothing but good things to say about trinking1. They answered every email and even called UPS and corrected a typo zip code error. And the spolier is perect. No problems on my end.

I got my lip spoiler from trimking as well and have no negative comments. The color match is perfect and it's still sitting on my trunk after 1 year with no problems.
